I hate leaving negative reviews, especially for local businesses. However, my most recent experience here was beyond unacceptable.
My coworker and I stopped in here for lunch this afternoon. I ordered a chicken parm sub and my coworker got slices. It would be nearly 10 mins before my coworker’s slices came out. I was then told that my sub would be out “shortly.”
Now I completely understand that everyone has bad days, and things happen, so I didn’t bother to say anything and continued to patiently wait for my sub. However, we were the ONLY two customers dining in THE ENTIRE TIME we were there!!! Not only that, but the guy behind the counter was just hunched over looking at his computer every time I looked over at him.
After an additional 10 mins of waiting, my sub finally came out. The chicken was completely burnt and tasted awful. The sauce and cheese were actually very good, but that still doesn’t make up for the burnt chicken and unreasonable wait time.
Neither of us were offered anything to make up for the long wait and mediocre food. Not even an apology. This might not be entirely accurate or fair of me to say, but it almost seems as if they don’t care about satisfying their customers unless they’re a local or regular there.
Overall, I’m very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I wish them luck in improving their service in the future, but I think it’s safe to say I most likely won’t eat here again.

Went on a Friday night did an online order was ready on time and fast. Got a pizza special two for 30 or something. This is the thin greasy beautiful pizza I’ve been looking for no flop in the crust a really nice air bite to it. The crust was enjoyable to eat and the two pizzas without double cheese still had an ample amount of cheese especially when paired with the crust. Holy batman boys good job my wife and I have been looking for pizza like this for a minute now. Definitely hit the spot , wasn’t super expensive, thank you I appreciate it guys my only regret is I didn’t try it sooner.

I have ordered from here a handful of times online for pick up and never been disappointed however tonight was absolutely terrible spent almost 70$ to throw it away. I ordered threw slice will never use that app again. My children and I waited almost 2 hrs for food we had to throw away because the 3 calzones ordered had ricotta cheese in them and we absolutely hate it. This isn’t the first time we ordered them so I know for a fact I wrote no ricotta cheese bc its disgusting, the chicken tenders and fries were so soggy and cold not appetizing at all just to call complain to hear it wasnt on my ticket when i know it was like i said not my first time ordering. It also had pizza sauce in every box when no pizza sauce was written as well. The lady asked if I got the slice which I thought we had bc there was 3 boxes but then i go and look a nope definitely did not when she knew i didnt all that was said was have a good night.

Been to alot of place in the utica rome area and I have to say the food at Poppa G’s in Poland is excellent. Hands down one of the top 10 pizzerias in the area. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. If your up that way or want to take a drive 12 minutes north of utica i recommend stopping.

My friend and I stopped because we were hungry and it was close.She had chicken riggies and raved about it.My chicken tenders were moist,and satisfyingly crisp.We sampled cheese pizza and loved the thin crust and everything about it.Mark is the perfect host!Took our order,served us,and threw in great conversation-for free.The restroom is clean.We will be back,very soon.

I ordered pizza and wings from there last week. The pizza was cooked just right and the sauce was delicious, The wings were crisp, but not hard. Sign says the dining room will be open soon. Good price.

Ordered wings and a sub last night and was not disappointed, the sub was huge, the amount of meat of the turkey sub was crazy good. I could have made a whole other large sub with it. Wings were so good we’ve ordered them again today, in a different flavor.

I dont like to review places, but after reading the post about the food being greasy. I have to step in and say I eat there at least 2x a week, and the food is always DELICIOUS. Never greasy. The staff is great. And if you had diarrhea, it must have been from what you had the day b4. To go on here and try to bash a family own business over you bad taste in food and lack of palette. And pretty sad.

Tried the greens and wings today. The greens were delicious and spicy-very flavorful. The wings were big and cooked perfectly! They were crisp but not overcooked with a perfect amount of sauce. Next we’re trying the upside down pizza.
