Service was awesome. Came in for happy hour and probably had too many margaritas. But it was taco Tuesday and I wasn’t driving!

Amazing Mexican food that did not disappoint. Been craving some good Mexican food in the area and almost chose against this place but I’m glad we didn’t. We came in on a weekday and we’re seated immediately which is a plus. Our waitress was quick with our drinks and gave us good time to choose from a menu that was looked/sounded delicious. We started with complimentary chips and salsa that were pretty basic (not in a bad way) but hit the spot. I ordered a Buckin Burro (lunch specials for 12.95) with green Chile con carne enchilada style, with rice and beans on the side. Being a big back I wanted to try their Albondigas (about $8) and it was a-maaaaazing! Never had non homemade Albondigas but this was one very delectable. My wife ordered a #1 which was a machaca enchilada and taco, with a bean tostada and rice and beans on the side. We had to take some food to go but it was a really good experience and definitely want to go back.

Yummmmm! Is all that needs to be said. I wish I could just eat a bucket of that good ole chicken that’s inside of their perfectly cooked chimichangas. That chicken is seasoned so well in their signature authentic way. It’s SOOOO delicious!

It actually saddens me to write this review, as I’ve been a Popo’s lifelong customer. However, the experience tonight was absolutely TERRIBLE!!! We waited 30 minutes to be seated (which was completely acceptable being it is Saturday). We were seated on the patio and forgotten. Someone finally came to ask what we wanted to drink. We got our drinks and waited another 15 minutes or so before someone came to take our orders. We easily waited another 30 minutes plus for our food. I didn’t get upset until realizing our food was completely cold!!! The server dropped the sour cream that came with my food and that took another 10 minutes to get a new one. By this time, I was just ready to leave. It felt like we’d been there forever. Not once did anyone tell us they were short staffed or apologize for the wait. The experience was bad. I’ve been eating at Popo’s for decades. I’ve recommended Popo’s to so many over the years. Tonight wasn’t enjoyable. Oh I forgot to add, it took us asking twice to get to go boxes.

We have been going to Popo’s Fiesta Del Sol since the early 90s. Popo’s will always be one of our favorite places to eat. This location in Goodyear has the same great tasting food as their location on Indian School. All of us enjoyed our lunch, We shared the mini platter appetizer as our meal, and it was more than enough food to split. Service was a little off, but they were busy. The only downside is that they won’t give you containers to take the rest of the salsa home. It always makes us think that they want to reuse the salsa we don’t finish. Other than that, we are always happy with the food. it’s excellent.

Food did not taste good. Plain Carne asada fries the meat had not taste and there was no Pico de gallo on top and my stomach did not feel right after eating a few bites.
Asked for a drink and the server said they had already had last call.
I dont think its appropriate to close or stop serving any items on the menu during the restaurants business hours.
Lastly the restaurant smells like it needs a deep clean.
I will not be returning.

Ms. Laura (Manager), Ms. Jasmin (Waitress), Mr. Marco (Bartender), and Ms. Karmen (Assistant Waitress) gave my son and I just that; “Exceptional” and “Outstanding” customer service.
They were all “Top notch” in every aspect and made our father and son outing exciting and fun.
From step 1 to step 10 Ms. Jasmin took her time going over all the menu items, answered all of our questions, and gave us an impeccable dining experience; the service we received was “Exemplary”.
Thank you very much Ms. Jasmin; “Much Gratitude”.

I meantto post this sooner. We had takeout on Saturday the 11th. They stack all of the to go containers on top of each other. Don’t you think 3 containers on top of one is going to make the bottom one cave in??? We Got home and that bottom one had all of the cheese stuck to the lid and the pollo especial burro all smashed!!! I tried calling but no one answered. A refund would have been nice!

The wife and I stopped in for a quick bite. We decided to eat at the bar and have a drink. Unfortunately, Bartender David was short staffed, so it was a bit before we received our drink, then were able to order our food.
Being new to the Goodyear section, Popo’s is super busy at times and the long wait was diluted by David’s hard work and the little attentiveness he was able to give due to being short staffed at the time.
We will definitely stop in again and eat at the bar.
