We have stoped here a couple times now and have had great food both times! They have a old drive-in diner atmosphere. Their burgers and coney dogs are great and the staff is friendly. One thing when stopping here to remember is to have cash. They do not take credit / debt cards.

It’s fried food heaven. Everything is fried. Don’t look for something healthy here. The food here is good down home cooking. I had a fish sandwich with potato gems. Potato gems are a local term for tater tots. I enjoyed them. Not outstanding, but adequate.

I would have given it no stars if it would have let me. The bathroom was dirty and smelled really bad. I ordered a hamburger and totts. After they made the order, they just set it off to the side. People that came in after me got their food before me. It was obvious that the people working there knew these other people. So by the time they found my food, it was cold. I was passing through, but I guess they have to know you in order to get hot food.

In Pender every three or four years always go to PoPo’s. Consider where you are. In Denver I have hundreds of choices in Pender about three. I always get the pork tenderloin sandwich. It’s as good as what I get in Denver if not better. Usually have new young people working there but always are friendly, prompt, and restaurant is clean. Reflects well on the owner/manager.
