As a family owned and operated business, Popeye’s on Lake Geneva went from a small 60 seat pub in 1972 to a full service restaurant with a seating capacity of 600 plus. Popeye’s is known for their outdoor rotisserie which features roasted meats cooked over hardwood charcoal. Many would say that their claim to fame is their homemade soups! The interior was very nice and interesting. The food was disappointing compared to how nice the restaurant looked. The calamari was not crispy and all the food was VERY over priced for below average taste. The chicken Alfredo pasta was good but it makes no sense that “chicken” is in the name but it doesn’t come with it and it costs extra for it…it was already $24.99. The Mediterranean garlic shrimp was very salty and the greens that came along was bitter. The tenders were just okay but the chicken pesto sandwich was good.

Was my first time to Lake Geneva and to Popeyes. Friend of mine brought us here and said they had good food. I have to agree, it was excellent. I had a burger with salad and cheese curds. I had no idea what these were before now.

The pulled chicken sandwich not bad. A little too much chicken juice made the bread soggy. But flavor was good. I asked if I could substitute anything else for fries… nope. Extremely overpriced menu for the food and atmosphere. Crazy that a quarter chicken is twenty bucks and they still charge extra $ for white meat. Plus they charge extra for using a credit card. Overall okay food on the pricey side. Excellent location and nice view of the lake from windows.

Popeyes was amazing. Great place for a dste night. Being right across from the lake made for a wonderful view while eating the food.(which was amazing.) From a big selection of appetizers to big dishes there was not one thing I did not like. Our server was very attentive and friendly and answered all of our questions promptly and if she didn’t know she found someone who did. I will for sure be returning here.

We took a day trip out west and decided to stop in on our back home. There’s ample seating and we got a table right away. Staff were incredibly patient, especially close to closing on a weekend. The food came out in a timely fashion and was truly decadent. Drink list was wonderful, everything tasted great.

The Rotisserie Chicken Nachos Supreme was amazing!!! The Chicken Caesar Salad w/ home-made Caesar dressing is outstanding. Best Caesar dressing I have EVER had.

The food and service was good. I got the fish fry. Their tapper was out of service when we were there so we could only get bottled items which was okay but kind of lame. They do, do a military discount. Fun atmosphere and clean place. I recommend and I would visit again.

I used to love this place, now it’s good but something seems to be missing lately. Cheese curds are decent, pulled pork is ok and the shredded chicken sandwich just isn’t what it used to be. I will still go but I’m hoping they change back to the way it used to be. Kids buttered noodles are good but barley warm enough to melt the butter.
