We visited Popeye’s in Hermiston, OR today (11/14/25) around 6:30 PM. The young lady at the window, long hair in a ponytail (Kelsey), took our order and was absolutely amazing! Her energy and approach with customers made the experience so pleasant. She is definitely someone who deserves recognition—hope the manager considers her for Employee of the Month!
As always, the food was cooked fresh and delicious. We don’t mind waiting an extra 5–7 minutes for our chicken and sides because quality is worth it. Thank you again, Popeye’s Hermiston!

While the Hermiston Popeye’s certainly experienced some growing pains when they first opened (as many reviews reflect), largely duento staffing issues, their service has improved remarkably over the recent months. During this time frame, my online/app orders have been filled correctly, the chicken was hot, fresh and juicy, and the order was ready to go in a timely fashion. The store and parking lot were also very clean. Please note the Hermiston store mostly cooks the spicy fried chicken per order, so keep that in mind if ordering at the counter (will result in a wait time for cooking).

After reading previous reviews, I was hesitant about this place. Finally took a gamble and tried it out. Went through the drive through, and they said it would be a 20 minute wait for a 12 piece (which I was expecting) came out on time, everything was great! Ordered online the second time,and didn’t have a wait when I arrived. Again the food was what you would expect from a Popeyes. I’m not sure if they’ve made some changes, but I’m happy with both experiences I’ve had so far with this place.

Waited 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged my wife and I. Waited another 20 minutes for an 8pc meal. Plus they stated they might not have enough chicken for our order!? Chicken is what you sell!!! Will never come back!!! If you look at other reviews, they all say the same!!! This place is a joke!!!

I have given this location plenty of opportunity to fix their issues, and now I will never go back. I order from here about once a month, using the Mobile app. From day one, their service was slow, slow, slow! It should not take 30+ minutes, from time of order placement, to get my “fast food”. The most recent visit on Aug. 19, 2025, I ordered a simple meal: 6PC boneless wings, 3PC Tenders, 2 sides, 2 biscuits. I placed order at 11:35 AM, went to pick up by 11:54 and the order was still not ready. There were no employees present to tend to the customers standing at the counter. When a staff member finally did appear, they asked me what I want to substitute the wings for, because they didn’t have any wings! They also didn’t have any of the sauces I ordered… I substituted my items and left the store as quickly as possible. Total time to get my order: 36 minutes

I love Popeyes, absolutely love them. So I was excited to eat here.
My first, and only visit they screwed it up BAD
First, they forgot about my $90 order for 30 minutes. Straight up didn’t prep it, and asked us why we were waiting.
The cooking staff never washed their hands after touching other items, including clocking in. Never changed gloves either. One was even wearing an ear bud, a violation for safe food handling.
Next, the manager was wearing a t-shirt, was unkempt, and even had a button up shirt draped over him like a jacket. He told the staff to make the order right since they messed up.
I get home to boardman, 30 minutes away, only to discover that I am missing HALF OF THE ORDER! I am rather upset, as I thought this would be a great stop. But wasted my time and money!
Worse yet, they were slow. Not busy at all. But never bothered to clean anything…picture to show it. I van understand after a rush things may be dirty, but we spent 30 minutes waiting to learn that they forgot about us, and nobody cleaned or tried to clean.
Never eat here! You may get sick, and certainly won’t get what you paid for when feeding a family!

Miserable looking sandwich that has a minimal amount of breading, but just on the edges. Been here a few months ago and the sandwich was a lot well portioned than this McChicken sized mediocrity. Popeyes pulling a robbery. For what I paid, I could’ve gotten triple elsewhere. This place ain’t gonna last.

We waited over 30 minutes for our food when it was slow. The lobby was really dirty and the employee was joking with another employee on how they are bored when it gets slow. The trash cans are full and there is garbage on the floor. Water mess over by the pop machine. This is our first and last time we will come here for sure. Then waited for so long to have our chicken sandwich not cooked all the way.

My first time trying this place. Chicken tenders were very good and good flavor. Coleslaw is very good, better than KFC. Didnt like the biscuit it was so oil saturated it was hard to eat, really didn’t enjoy it.

Omg…. So we live in Kennewick but had to run to Hermiston so we stopped at this establishment and I regret it immensely. We ordered 2 classic chicken sandwiches and they not only took forever they were soaked in grease. Like it was actually disgusting. I’m so pissed that i spent $10 on that food. I will never go there again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else eat there either. Nasty
