I ordered online and went to pick up almost 40 minutes later and was still not ready. Mind you the restaurant was empty when I walked in. My order was wrong even at that. They forgot my Mac and cheese that I paid extra for, had to come back for it. When I did the lady at the register seemed irritated with me like it was my fault they forgot an item. She gave me such a small portion too, it looked like a tiny little scoop of ice cream. I ordered the new chicken crispers for 3.99 and you get exactly what you pay for. Definitely don’t look like what they advertise online. I thought they would be somewhat like the chicken fries from Burger King and they were tiny bits and shreds of “chicken” the majority were inedible and were pure cartilage. And to top it off I get this nasty cajun gravy that is just watered down and taste like a mixture of water and oil.

I honestly had a really good experience at this Popeyes. The food was hot, fresh, and exactly what you expect from Popeyes — crispy chicken, great seasoning, and good portions. The staff were polite and patient, even though it was busy when I went. My order was correct and didn’t take long at all.
I was a little hesitant because of the reviews, but my visit was smooth and enjoyable. Everyone has off days, but based on my experience, this location deserves more credit. I’ll definitely be back.

If you value good service and accuracy, avoid this Popeyes location – our experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish.
We ordered the 8-piece Signature Chicken Family Meal through DoorDash and received only dark meat – thighs and legs. The DoorDash app doesn’t offer an option to select “all white” or “all dark,” but an 8-piece chicken order should include a mix of 2 breasts, 2 wings, 2 drumsticks, and 2 thighs. Yet we received none of the white meat pieces.
We drove to the Hayward Santa Clara Street location to address the issue and spoke with Stefany, who was unfortunately very dismissive and offered no real solution. She told us that since we didn’t specify a preference, they “just give whatever,” which makes no sense. If that were truly the case, then when a customer doesn’t specify, would staff ever give all white meat? Of course not. They only default to all dark because it’s cheaper – and that does not make sense. If the customer doesn’t choose, the default should reasonably be a mix, not all dark meat (thighs and drumsticks).
In the end, we had to pay an additional $13 just to get the two breasts that should have been included in the first place. We paid full price for a mixed order but received only dark meat (the cheaper option).
Very disappointing experience and lack of care for customers, ESPECIALLY our experience with STEFANY. Avoid ordering from this location, especially through delivery apps, unless you’re okay with the staff deciding what you get.

This location never has the order ready even if you order through the mobile app. This time I went and stood under the “mobile order pick up” sign. Employees were in front of me, but no one made eye contact. After a few minutes I told them I had a mobile order. The “manager” I guess, with the black shirt on, went and picked up a receipt and asked if that was me. I said yes. She told me nothing. Continued working. Everyone on the line got their order, and there I was, still waiting. After waiting for a while , one employee pushed the order my way. Didn’t say anything. I asked for a sauce. She says it’s 25c. Another employee gave the sauce to another woman for free. I was ticked off. I told them I had been waiting for so long, and just left. Got home, and my sandwich had yellow uncooked batter or something that’s yellow. Super disappointed!

I order from this Popeye’s at least 1x per week. My order is always hot and ready. The ladies that work here are busy but always very nice.

Make sure you check your bag of food. I ordered the 8 piece family meal and I didn’t check my bag. 1) they didn’t give me my biscuits. I ordered fries and pies so I thought one of the boxes was the biscuits. I should’ve checked cuz it was the pies. 2) check the box of chicken. They gave me 4 drumsticks in my order and one thigh. It should’ve been 2 wings, 2 breast, 2 thighs, 2 drumstick. It’s not worth it to drive all the way back. But when I go there again imma make sure I check my bag and I’m also gonna check them.

The two pieces of chicken were still red inside. So only the skin was eaten, but even that turned out to be under cooked because some of the batter was still wet underneath. The manager was genuinely apologetic and offered to replace the chicken. Unfortunately, the restroom also turned out to be closed.

Very very very very very bad service very bad working they don’t know time value.. I order online I did not receive any kind of receipt, but amount was credited from my credit card I went this location I told this stuff I did not receive any receipt but amount was credit from my account. I explained the situation they asked me my name. I told my name they search on their try to find out my name I don’t know they find out or not, after that one more person came again you asked me my name I told again my name and he also search my name and ask me some questions. I told everything about whatever he asked me. I told everything after that you told me you wait and I ask him or he find out My name he told me then he went inside. Come back after a few minutes. I ask him he told me chicken wings is a cooking. You wait after that I wait like more than 30 to 40 minutes. then someone came he told me again he asked me where is the receipt I told before 30 to 40 minutes I don’t receive I did not receive my iPad in my credit card this location. Also what happened again you asking me give me a receipt why you did not tell me before 30 to 40 minutes finally he talk to rudely rudely I am upset especially they don’t know too much English to speak. They only speak too much Spanish. I’m upset too much very bad. Very bad service.

Everytime I come here I try to give them the benefit of the doubt that they’re not gonna mess up my order and they always do. Something is always missing and the customer service is horrible. They’re always focused on talking to eachother than paying attention to the customers, they’re speaker with music super load and singing instead of working. Tonight was no different, had me waiting for an hour for my food and somehow still ended up with something missing from my order. They need new staff all together because the manager in charge does not know how to be a leader.
