This is for the Popeyes on Holloman AFB. The manager was very engaged with customers and staff, and was actively training a new team member and seemed very effective.

Every time I use the drive through and I mean every time I use the drive through, my orders is wrong or something is missing. Last week I ordered a large fry and a large red bean and rice. The young lady at the window gave me a five piece chicken tender two biscuits and an apple pie. I no longer have the energy to correct the workers at this popeyes.

Open from 1030-1630 monday-friday. Why is this place even on base with such ridiculous hours? Finance analysts work longer hours than this place is open. Who is the target customer? Popeyes is not lunch food.

Bacon and cheese crispy chicken sandwich was amazing. Their Mac and Cheese is super good. If I would gain 100lbs and die of a heart attack I would eat this almost every other day. This is my second time eating from Popeyes and I must say was missing out. It’s a good treat once a month or so. The one on base treat is right.

I work on base and find myself coming to Popeyes quite often, their food is always fresh and always hot. I enjoy my experience with Popeyes staff is friendly and hardworking they deserve some appreciation.

Decided to walk out without ordering because as I approached to place my order one of their employees pushed me out of the way and said they get to order first because they work there. When I called to talk to a manager about it she was not adept at her job enough to handle the customer service role

I usually end up having a ho-hum experience whenever I go. The staff is generally just pleasant enough for you to not complain, but the customer service experience is really lacking. I try to be friendly anywhere I go, but usually (with one or two rare exceptions) I get stared at like I’m not ordering or getting out of the store fast enough.

The wait times for food are all over the place. I’ve ordered simple items (nothing that needs to be specially prepared or dropped in the fryers) and I’ve seen staff prepare, expedite, and serve food for people behind me before I ever catch a glimpse of my food. The usual sounds are, “#86! #95! #82!…

Lastly, they are almost ALWAYS guaranteed to not have the newest special chicken item. You just saw the commercial and they have promotional signs on the windows, but they haven’t gotten the shipment in yet so they can’t make it. They didn’t get enough of a certain sauce in their order. They run out of the ingredients within a week. You have to find the sweet spot to try the new item… But I sure haven’t figured out the secret timetable.

I tend to avoid going unless I just happen to have a craving for chicken. They used to be really good for lunch a few years ago, but something has definitely changed. They no longer offer some staple items like wraps, so we just kinda phased it out of our diets. Maybe worth an occasional trip, but they could do so much better.

I have been here a few times already even during its busiest hours and feel like I can now write this review. Yes, they can be slow especially during the lunch rush, but when I get to the window and can see what’s going on, it’s obvious they are understaffed. Considering the reason the restaurant closed to begin with was due to bad management, yeah makes sense. This Popeyes has completely new staff, so everyone is getting up to speed without the number of bodies they need. I’m fine with the wait as well, I don’t need rushed food that may be wrong or cooked not to my liking. This is also why the restaurant is only open from 10:30-2:30. Not enough people. It may not be the most convenient, but again I understand why. The people are great here even with how much work that have to do. Sure it’s hard to hear them sometimes, but this is an F-16 base with F-16s flying over. It tends to be loud. If a jet flies over, just wait until it’s gone. Sometimes it’s hard to hear them because people own loud cars. Nothing against that, but if you can’t hear the speaker because of your loud car, just turn it off for a minute. If it’s someone else’s car, not sure what can be done about that besides speaking up, sadly. The speaker is also old and weathered, so that tends to be rough as well. The food itself tends to be great. The spicy chicken sandwich is different compared to most restaurants, but I’m fine with that. They use spicy mayonnaise for their spicy chicken, and personally I like it. If you don’t want mayo but want a spicy chicken sandwich, well you’re gonna have to order something else sadly. They have other spicy options for chicken. Hopefully this review helps others see as to why this Popeyes doesn’t exactly work like other Popeyes or even some of the restaurants on base with better hours. This isn’t Chick-fil-A, this is Popeyes on a military base. Written by a previous fast food employee that worked in a different state for Chick-fil-A.

Terrible, I mean absolutely terrible Popeyes restaurant I have ever been to. The convenient location is the only reason why I have visited more than once. But I went yesterday and ordered an 8 piece family meal with one leg side and 4 biscuits it was 16.99 WoW. Then I got the food home and it wasn’t edible . The chicken was so dried out from obviously sitting under the heat lamp forever. I was very disappointed I could not eat the food so I pitched it in the trash. How can the food be so different at other locations. It would seem to me they would put their best foot forward considering the military personnel they serve.. but I assume it’s a management issue. Things must change in order for me to go back, it’s a waste of money to visit this location in its current state.
