I ordered the Buy One Get One Free Classic Chicken Sandwich deal through Uber Eats, purchasing three sandwiches, which should have totaled six. Only three sandwiches were delivered. I called the store three times and got no answer, so I drove to the location with both my paper receipt and my Uber Eats receipt.
Inside the store, very loud and unprofessional music was playing, and I was not greeted for several minutes. When I politely explained that I was missing three sandwiches and asked if the driver might have left another bag, I was met with a dirty look. My paper receipt was taken to the back and, after several minutes, I was handed a bag that appeared to contain the remaining three classic chicken sandwiches.
When I got home and my kids bit into the sandwiches, it was discovered they were made with bone‑in chicken thighs instead of the usual boneless chicken breasts, making them essentially inedible. That’s a choking hazard for kids! I tried calling the store again to address this, but once more, no one answered the phone. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience in terms of both customer service and food quality.

UPDATE:
Spoke with Ivan over the phone at this location, who was able to correct this issue and make it right. I do appreciate him going out of his way to fix this. I will be returning as I enjoy the food.
App experience is still bad though.
My wife placed an online order on the 16th of February. I arrived to pick up the food and was told they didn’t have 90% of the items we ordered, available.
When I asked if they could cancel the order, I was told no and that I’d have to go through the app.
My wife and I followed the proper procedures and submitted a ticket. Popeyes then decided that the issue was resolved.
We have NOT been given our points back nor have we been refunded any $ that was spent on this order.
Whenever we try to contact customer service, it directs us to the app, which isn’t helpful.
1 star review since I’ve attempted to contact this store directly to see if they can assist in anyway. No one ever bothers to answer the phone.
My wife and I will likely not be returning to any Popeyes location in the future or at least won’t be placing any online orders, since they’ve gotten our money but failed to provide any of the products we paid for.

I ordered Doordash. I got the speciall 2 for 1 – 4 piece dinner. We added coleslaw for $3.69 and Mac and cheese for $4.29. They gave us 2-1 in tall tubs containing 4 Tablespoons of Coleslaw and 2-1 in tubs of COLD red beans and rice. 2 biscuits and 10 pieces of chicken. 2 pieces were unrecognizable parts of the chicken.

So I decided to try them one last time being that I left for work late. So I pulled up and one of the workers was sitting on the counter and it took a minute before the decided to take my order. I ordered a two piece dark specifically asking for two thighs with fries, a coke with no ice. The coke was flat. I got mashed potatoes and dirty rice. I quickly stopped her and asked “whose order was this? I gave it back due to the entire order being wrong. I got a wing and a thigh . Once I got to work and saw that the chicken looked as if it was half eaten with no crust I can honestly say Popeyes is officially the worst chicken place I’ve ate at! I see why they went under for a few years. The customer service sucks and the kids they hire don’t have any respect for the customers or food they put out. I will be calling code compliance tomorrow. This is ridiculous and an embarrassment to the franchise

Ivan is the perfect new addition to the kennedale location! I really appreciate the time he takes to make this store improve. I’ve been here a year & stopped ordering a few months ago, but decided to try them out again. This is when I met Ivan! His customer service skills are rare & he is helping the crew correct this locations history. I appreciate you Ivan! You’re definitely making a change for improving my local Popeyes! Give them a chance y’all, he just got here! Keep being amazing Ivan! I am a few days late on my review, but surely his presence made the experience memorable.

I think the first thing that needs to be addressed is who yall have had managers.
I’m reading comments about this worker did this and this worker did that. But that’s not the issue. The issue is management. Last night at 10pm (12/23/25) I ordered to sandwiches. One regular large combo and one spicy large combo (ghost pepper specifically) and ended up getting home and upon my wife taking a bite into her sandwhich m, saying it was spicy. She was not able to have dinner that night and I was highly disappointed.
What leaders do in moderation, followers do in excess. So if you have managers slacking off, you will have workers blasting music and sitting on counters (which is highly against nsf rules) like other reviews have said on this page. Now if you have managers who hold their staff accountable, not allowing them to blast inappropriate, cuss word filled music, making sure they make food right and don’t cut corners, and greet customers with a smile and a “how can I serve you today?” Attitude, then you will have a healthy restaurant.
During the day time I have not had issues. But both times I have gone at night I was greeted very poorly and not treated like my order was valued due to having to repeat my order 5 times.
I’ve worked in the fast food industry so I understand how it can be fast paced and sometimes the speakers don’t work, but stuff like this can most definitely not be blamed on poorly operating speakers. This is a character issue. There is great potential for this restaurant but until yall make some management changes, this will continue to happen.
ALSO. The manager last night DID NOT HAND MY CARD BACK even after sitting there for 10 minutes and it is my fault for not making sure she handed It back….but that is the FIRST thing you do in fast food. You never walk away with the customers card unless the customer for some reason tells you to.
Now, I have to wait until 10am to hopefully go and grab my card.

This Popeyes is always out of menu items. Tonight they had no fries, sweet tea, or desserts, and still wanted to charge extra to substitute mac and cheese. There’s clearly an issue with food consistency here. Not quite the Popeyes experience I get at other locations. Customer service, however, has always been pleasant.

I ordered a 3 piece chicken (all dark) spicy it was spicy but not all dark, 5 piece chicken strips not spicy, 2 orders of cajun fries, 2 orders of red beans and rice, and 2 drinks. Before I could finish my order I was ordered by a male employee to drive around to the next window. At least that’s what it sounded like in his “I’m bored and can’t be bothered by you a mere female” tone of voice. So I did and told the woman at the window the rest of my order. When I got my order it was missing 2 chicken fingers, 1 order of fries, 1 order of red beans and rice and the 2 fried pies I ordered just before I paid. I went into the store, waited for 3 minutes just to have to try to get someone’s attention by saying ‘Hello’ 4 times before the woman came out. I showed her the problem. She pointed out the 5 piece chicken strips was marked as 3 on the receipt. I told him 5 piece 3 times and he still did 3. I told him 2 fries and 2 red beans and rice 3 times and he still only put one in the bag. No one bothered to read the order back to me before I spent another 15 minutes waiting to get my food just to find out I only got half of what I ordered. The woman did not give me the opportunity to pay for the food I ordered that she claimed I didn’t pay for but all she did was keep waving the receipt in my face. A receipt by the way I was not given when I paid the bill or when I was given half of what I actually ordered. So is there maybe some kind of scam going on in that store? I went to this store because the service at the 287 store has always been hideous and I was hoping this store would be better…I WAS SO TERRIBLY WRONG. At least the 287 store GIVES YOU A RECEIPT so you have proof you’ve been cheated out of half of your order. Now I’m convinced horrible grumpy old man attitude service must be the corporate policy and I won’t be back. For this much aggravation, the food could have at least been hot and not dripping grease everywhere. I love popeye’s food when it’s hot and cooked properly but it’s just not worth the aggravation. You’ve lost me forever.

I placed an order on the app Feb 16. I pulled up to the drive thru and was told they only have like 2 pieces of chicken and dirty rice. I had placed and paid for my order of 2 three piece chicken 2 sides a biscuit and drink. I ask them what we can do and he said cancel the order on your app then. He closed the window and that was it. So I proceeded to try and cancel the order but it said picked up. I talk to support but all it says is support ticket submitted. I looked for a support number but they just send me a link. I’ve called and no one answers. I cannot reach a human being. I’m out money and no food. Called the store today and they told me they cannot do anything…. This is ridiculous. It’s Feb 22 and I have not heard back from my support ticket or the restaurant itself. Worst customer service ever.

Ivan Was so polite my order was at least $300 and everything was perfect. If he’s here he will get you right now. I like the other people, but he even dress very well for his age.
