Service was excellent! The young lady that greeted us was very friendly and kind. She explained that we would have a bit of a wait, even though we ordered ahead on the app, because they needed to cook more spicy chicken for us. No problem, I prefer freshly cooked chicken.
The wait was longer than expected but the young lady at the counter kept us updated and even offered us something to drink while we waited.
I did overhear one of the employees making fun of my order because I wanted red beans without the rice. Its odd tgat she thought I was crazy for ordering it that way because the app actually gives you that option. Obviously Im not the only one who loves their red beans.
Anyway, our order was accurate and the only reason I didn’t give the food 5 stars is because even though we were told we were waiting because they were cooking our spicy chicken, that was nonsense. I ordered a 5 piece spicy chicken meal and 4 pieces were classic chicken and 1 piece was spicy and NONE of them were hot and fresh. They were barely lukewarm.
Also, don’t be fooled by the side of gravy. Online it shows a picture of a cup of gravy, the same size as the regular mashed potatoes or red beans & rice but check out the pictures I posted. That is what you ACTUALLY get as a side of gravy for $.99. Its about a Tablespoon of gravy. Thats just false advertising!

Food is great but the portions I got were small. The fries looks like just half of what the other stores have given me before and the thigh was also half in size. I should have checked the box before I left which I always do but today I this time I did not.

Me and my friends are just amazed at the friendly atmosphere here. You could come in for anything, food, conversation, Bible study and come out feeling better about yourself and the world. Call it bias, but I definitely think this is one of the best Popyese in the franchise.

My family and I used to go to Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen quite frequently. The main ones we would frequent were two of them in Mesquite, TX. Then their customer service and food quality would diminish. So much so, we just quit going all together. That had to have been over 15 years ago. Then today, my wife and son and I was looking for something we don’t usually eat around us. They did put up a Popeyes near us in recent years. But as said above, we did not want to go. But after consideration we decided to go ahead and take gamble. Even though a couple of our favorites were no longer on the menu. Dirty rice and jambalaya was gone. My wife and I decided what we wanted and after a five minute discussion with our little, he decides on the garlic non spicy Parmesan boneless wings. My wife orders the chicken dippers and classic wrap. I get the 5 piece spicy strips and two sides (mash potatoes and Mac and cheese) I make the 25 minute drive to pick up our order. I tell the young lady the counter the pick up name and number. She turns around and then says they were out of garlic parmisan. Strike 1. So I called my wife and son and it was decided to just get them plain and my wife will just make the garlic parm herself. The young lady bags everything up and I make the trek home. Get all the way home and start dividing it up between the three of us. We open his box of boneless wings and look in. Well what do you know, they are not boneless. Strike 2. My son reluctantly says it ok and he will eat them. My wife prepares the garlic parm sauce and coats them up. He takes a couple bites and he says “Daddy, these are spicy”. He eats two and says he’s full and can’t eat anymore. I looked at one he was eating and what do I find, SPICY. Strike 3. Most of the time, if something negative happens at a restaurant I will give it another try depending on how bad it was. But this time was three things all together. The main being my son having spicy instead of non. So my wife and I decided, another trip to Popeye’s will not be in the future for us. Hopefully you will have a better experience.

Hello! I wanted to stop by and explain the awesome service we received today from Gabby at Store #12742. I came in for a pick up order and my 12 year old son was gifted a $25 Popeyes gift card from this past Christmas and wanted to buy him a Spicy chicken sandwich meal with his card. He LOVES POPEYES! LOL Anyway, we were having issues with getting the transaction to go through and he was starting to get sad about it.
Gabby came to the rescue and assisted us with verifying the card balance and she manually put in the gift card numbers and the transaction went through successfully!! My son was so excited and wanted to make sure we left Gabby a review for her assistance. She’s a gem and provided 10 STAR SERVICE! Thanks Gabby & Popeyes!!!

Got some drive thru and the biscuit had what appeared to be a plastic bristles in it. I don’t know why they would be using a bristle brush near the biscuits.

Terrible experience not once but twice, not the staff they are friendly but the food. Yesterday I went and was told no regular tenders available for the 25$ combo. And that the special was 2 piece tender. So I left, came back today and got the 25$ meal. 12 tenders. Most of them were tiny nuggets literally. I will attach pics. I asked for fresh… not fresh. And the fries were literally cold. The mash potatoes and red beans and rice were good. But the rest.. terrible. Pics attached called to get new tenders or refund no answer. Just “Goodbye” each time

On their website it says that they close at 7:00 today, when I called they stated they were closed this was at 6:30. I went ahead and went up there. When I did they didn’t answer the speaker and someone came out and stated that they ran out of chicken. Chances are they’re lying and just closed early. They seriously need to do better

My husband had the day off and chose to go to the Royse City Popeyes. He said the young lady Gabby A. went over and beyond to make sure his order was taken correctly and coupons were applied. You don’t see that much today, everyone seems to be in a hurry and not so personable anymore at times, but not Miss Gabby A ! We need more employees with a happy and pleasant demeanor who want to take that extra mile to make someone who is just gonna enjoy a meal @ one of his favorite fast foods. Thank you Gabby A -you ROCK !!!
