Okay…So I found myself in NOLA!! And from what I read the Popeyes in LA are not like the run of the mill locations you find in other states. Only one way to find out….And I did just that. On Canal Street you enter from the rear of the restaurant and there are ordering kiosks. I believe there was a sign stating that you must order first and pay unlike other locations where you simply order at the counter or drive-thru. I was expecting to wait 45 minutes or longer from things I have been reading but I only waited 15 minutes or so. Chicken was hot and I couldn’t wait to see ‘IF’ there actually was a difference. Result?……..I could not tell any difference. It simply tasted like when you get your Popeyes as soon as it comes up. The menu was basically the same as well. I didn’t notice any special items I couldn’t get in other states. Overall the experience was better than the chicken. So now I can say I actually visited a Popeyes in NOLA.

Ordered a 12 piece fried chicken dinner along with 2 sides and 6 biscuits with my parents during Mardi Gras weekend. The atmosphere inside was hectic with many people trying to order food. Thankfully the night shift workers were able to work well under the pressure and slowly but surely, food was coming out. As for the chicken itself, it came out amazing with the breading being just right and not too greasy as well. Overall a good experience.

Popeyes chicken in Atlanta is good most of the time, but Popeyes Chicken in New Orleans is ALWAYS good, especially when it freshly cooked and piping hot. The coleslaw was perfect and the biscuits are melt in your mouth delicious. The service was slow and the dining tables could use cleaning after a guest is done dining for the next guest, but I forgot about all that once I took my first bite. You can’t come to Louisiana without stopping by a Popeyes.

Oh my goodness I just could not wait to be back in New Orleans for some The original Popeyes Chicken. I haven’t been here in years. However, I ordered a 8 piece 50/50 original & spicy chicken, Coleslaw and Red beans & Rice.
Oh so good. Crispy with lots of flavor and the Spicy Chicken was my favorite since long ago. The chicken is juicy, spicy and delicious this is my favorite spot. When I’m back in town from California we will be back.
Please send some of your employees to other Popeyes Chicken for training on how to prepare the chicken.
Your employees here are fantastic, they are people oriented, they work like an assembly line. Also, they are the true meaning of a Team.

Place was nice n clean. Just know u will smell weed and probably see people rollin up inside. Ziosk wouldn’t scan my QR code but was able to order thru app. Order didn’t take very long but they forgot my sandwich. Manager was on top of it tho and they made my sandwich immediately. My girls said the chicken was delicious and mash taters n gravy was nice n hot. Sandwich was also on point.

Terrible experience. There’s no system for placing orders, nobody at the front desk, the food is low quality, and the bathrooms look like they belong in a prison. I would never go back.

Love this Popeyes location … spacious, clean and fun bright happy colors. Food was hot and fresh. Liked that they have large kiosk menus to self order/pay. Plenty of different table seating options for all

TL;DR: Rude employees, cold food, avoid.

I placed an order for pickup using Popeye’s website. When I arrived at the location (from the hotel across the street), my name was listed on the digital display under “Ready” with an order number. I gave my name to the cashier, and she shoo’d me away and told me to wait until my name was called. My food was already prepared and sitting on a shelf, but I was made to wait.

After several more people picked up their orders (about 5 minutes), I approached a different employee who was not the cashier. I told her that I had a pickup order, but my name was no longer showing on the board. She found the food and drink and handed it to me. I complained about being made to wait for food that was already so far gone that the order was no longer on the board, but she insisted it was fresh. It was not fresh. Waste of time and money.

I’m giving 5 stars because of how hard they work. I’ve been working out here for 6 months & every time I visit Popeyes. The lines are always moving, the chicken and food is always hot, the workers communicate beautifully. Props to the team!

I went to the Cannle st. Store in downtown New Orleans. I drove for 3 1/2 hours one way to say I have had Popeyes in the founding city. I was told to get it on Cannle st. Yes it’s a Popeyes the same great food but it’s in New Orleans.
