Let me start this saying yes I know we were there for Mardi Gras. Our first visit was Sunday after a 12 Hour Dr. we get there other people have already ordered. We go up to the counter. We are not spoken to for 10 solid minutes. We approach someone behind the front counter and ask if we should order through a kiosk or if we can order in person because we had questions we were ignored. They pivoted and turned back to the kitchen so we left. Thankfully, Taco Bell was open across the street. We got our food ate and went to our family’s house to settle in for the evening to prepare for the parade next day Monday evening we decided to give this location another shot so we could hopefully get some chicken for the parade at the next day this time. We did decide to do the drive-through. Which was a much smarter option. The drive-through moved decently quick for any Popeyes nationwide and yeah, we’ve been to many. We were glad they never gave up their seasoning options as many of the Popeyes nationwide do not quite season their chicken like the New Orleans locations do. Our hearts were happy with the food we received in the drive-through. Which is why the food has a five star and service atmosphere one of three. Take away from this do yourself a favor hit the drive-through don’t go inside.

My mouth was left open with the hospitality and EXCELLENT customer service skills that I had partake in with Ms. Saundrea this evening! I’m sorry that when I pulled up I had to ask her, “Where did you come from?”, because we need hundreds more like you! Excellent job on her behalf.

Today we ordered 2 classic flounder sandwiches using the Popeye’s app. The order was ready in less than 10 mins. At 1st I was actually impressed as to how quickly it was ready. I opened the bag saw 2 sandwiches. The sandwiches were spicy for one. One of the sandwiches was even labeled with someone else’s name on it as special order no pickles and it had pickles. So the other person experienced the same issue. I might could have let the spicy issue go if they had tasted good but it was horrible. They tasted and looked like they had been sitting in a warmer tray for a while. Very disappointed. I had been looking forward to the sandwich because other people I know in another area said they were really good. This location in Chalmette, LA needs to do a lot better.

The attitudes are really, really horrible. The little girl who “helped” me asked if I paid for my order after showing her a receipt. Then when I said yes I have a receipt, she was very condescending, saying it just prints sometimes. Lack of accountability. How dumb. What a rather stupid thing to say. Where are your customer service skills? My order was taking obscenely long & had sat there awhile & yet the number was not called. Then when she pulled it she slammed it on the counter. Even when I didn’t respond to her little smart mouth comment. You all are giving Popeyes a HORRIBLE name.

Whoever owns this Popeyes in Chalmette, LA should be ashamed of themselves. Service here is one of the worst I have ever encountered. When you pull around after ordering they ask you to stay back instead of taking your money so it looks like they are faster than they are. And they mess up the orders on the regular. You will see in the phot where they have asked the drive ahead of me to wait, very pathetic!!!

I’m always amazed at how SLOW they are…had to update. They are so crappy, BAD attitudes, F’d up orders. Takes 15min plus to order in the drive thru and you are ALREADY pulled up to the menu to order. Avoid this location at all cost. They are declining at a RAPID pace. They need to shutdown, it’s a disgrace. Almost 40$ for some BS

Today was the day this restaurant ruined things, The service from the people is so bad, I said “excuse me ma’am” politely and the lady looked at me and just kept walking, and why when I ask for my drink I am looked at like im crazy? Its a COMBO! It doesn’t help that the quality of the food is making me sick, why is the chicken so dry? And the rice HARD?
