Great service from Brittany front counter server. So friendly and efficient. Made us feel welcome in the restaurant. We ordered two fish sandwiches and the 3-pc take your pick chicken. Both were made fresh and were delicious. We also tried the shrimp tackle box. Good food all around!

I love Popeyes’ signature hot wings — they’re spicy and flavorful! The traditional spicy chicken, though not spicy, is also excellent, especially when paired with the sweet heat sauce. I enjoy rounding out my meal with their strawberry lemonade, crispy fries, and apple pie. Honestly, most of the food at Popeyes is consistently good for what it is supposed to be.
That said, this particular location has some issues with service. The employees are always nice, but the wait times are unusually long, even when I order just fried chicken — their main specialty. More than once, I’ve had to wait because it wasn’t ready. I’ve experienced similar delays at a few other Popeyes locations, though not all.
The strangest experience, however, was when I came at noon on one Saturday, only to find the restaurant closed, despite posted hours starting at 10 am. It seemed no employees had shown up. Other customers came, waited, and left frustrated. I waited, left, and came back at a later time to still find it closed later in the afternoon. It was eventually open that same day when I checked again at maybe 9 pm!

This place is a joke. Every time I have came in here to even get your order taken is an hour. I’m not sure if the lack of staff or incompetence. But there is not a person consistently taking orders when there is only 5 people in the lobby. And no one in the drive thru. While we waited there was a guy waiting on food standing there for who knows how long. Another man standing trying to get his order fixed because his food was not correct (he never was helped and walked out.) Another man came in from drive through who looked to have gotten the wrong drink. And then another woman came in asking if the food a worker was bringing out was hers. He had said it was not and then she asked how much longer because she had already been waiting 20 minutes. And in all that time of observation only one persons order was taken. And the woman next in line was just standing waiting for who knows how long to give her order. The food under heat lamps looked terrible all of it sitting there for a long time from the dark appearance. We stood in here for about 10 minutes and saw all of this and not see one persons food be given to them while in lobby. Will never be making the mistake to come here again when I can easily go across the street to chick fil a and get fresh food served fast, friendly and correct!

I decided to take my niece to get Popeyes since she’d never been. We were acknowledged in the drive-thru and the attendant told us she’d be right with us. After 20 minutes of waiting, two workers taking out trash walked by. I asked if they were closing early and they told me they were just behind. So I waited for five more minutes….then decided to pull ahead to the drive-thru window. I told a guy nobody was answering at the drive-thru. Immediately a lady with the headset comes to him and says “she can’t skip to the window! Tell her she has to go back and get in line!” She said it where I could hear, so I asked to speak to her manager. Guess what? She was the manager!
Mgr. Mercedes we will not be going back to the Joplin Popeyes. 30 minutes spent in a drive-thru and left with no food and a hungry niece.

we waited over 40 minutes for our food and more than 7 people got theirs before we did and we only had one shareable meal. we also ordered on the app. we were also given the wrong order and waited 15 more minutes after that.

The absolute SLOWEST restaurant in town! I’ve been 3 times and each time I had to wait around 20 minutes for food. Hire more employees! It’s no wonder the parking lot is always empty. If Chick-fil-A can hire quality employees anyone can. No reason to wait that long for fast food. I’ll try one more time in hopes you read this review and hire more/more quality help.

Food was really really good. Very fresh chicken. Fresh fries. The biscuit wasn’t great but the chicken was so good.
The service was so poor. Rude and unkept employees wearing Nike shirts. Placed an order in the drive through but had to go inside to get sauce that was forgotten. The inside is dirty and employees all appear to be unhappy. Come for the food but check your order.

I’ve been to Popeyes so many times loved going tell now I ordered larger mashed potatoes and larger Mac and cheese and large fries I’ve received small mashed potatoes and small Mac and cheese and no fries the manager with the nose ring never repeat the order back and even at the speaker kept getting the order wrong and repeated it multiple times to her instead of owning up to it I had to walk up in there with a hurt foot and wanted to charge me for a two more mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese large when she made the mistake and they were not busy had three cars poor management
