Wow! I’m at a loss at to even how to start this (very good thing in this case). I am thoroughly impressed with this location. I went through the drive through around 9:30pm. I have a dairy allergy/extreme intolerance. Going out to eat is typically exhausting for me. People get annoyed about me asking about what has dairy, etc.
When I arrived through the drive thru, I was greeted cheerfully. I asked if there was dairy in the batter of the chicken. Immediately the staff knew to ask the manager. Awesome! They let me know which things contained dairy. Without any grief. I can’t express just how much it means to me for someone to care, check, and do it nicely. THANK YOU!!!
Once I ordered, they asked me to pull ahead—no problem. I pull ahead. The manager, Billy, comes out and tells me he wasn’t sure how extreme my dairy allergies were, so he went the extra mile to make sure everything would be okay for me. WOW! Top tier service. Then the manager also let me know a time frame of when I would receive my food, which is fantastic for the guest, in my opinion.
I received my food and it was piping hot, delicious, and delivered with care. Thank you all so very much. You made my day! I will only go to this Popeyes from here on out. THANK YOU!!!

Not at all an edible meal… completely disappointing! We placed our order for carryout online. That went awry fast… as we realized that the location we had placed our order from, wasn’t the one 4 blocks from our home in Blue Springs… but the location at 40hwy & Vally View. Since we’d prepaid as well, we had to drive all the way to the other locale to pick up our food! My husband went in and noticed immediately that our bagged order wasn’t even under the heat lamps, but instead, it was just sitting on the front counter as if we’d just ordered it in front of a cashier. So it wasn’t a surprise when we got home, that our food was extremely cold, hard and frankly, even overcooked. Our 2 sides of Red Beans and Rice were like a glob of almost set concrete; and tasted kind of sour, as if it were starting to go bad. The 3 piece chicken entree we’d ordered consisted of a thigh and 2 tiny shriveled up wings. Sadly, we were forced to toss them out. And, if that weren’t enough, our tenders and boneless wings were even worse! Also, we had ordered a side of Cole Slaw that I swear tasted like nothing I’ve ever tasted before anywhere. It had so much mayonnaise mixed in that it was way too thick and kind of clumpy… it also reeked of a spice that I couldn’t quite recognize, and I’m generally considered a good cook. I’m able to just sample a dish and tell you what’s in it 9 out of 10 times… this wasn’t one of them; It wasn’t only a mystery side of slaw, but an inedible part of out order as well. NEVER AGAIN will we eat anything from this location. And to be honest, Popeyes just hasn’t been the same since the Covid outbreak… at any location!

This was a magic experience. The food was just like the best chicken ever! I had the ghost pepper chicken sandwich was which was reasonably priced, especially for the amount you get which was unexpectedly large . They just continue the chicken route, instead for a couple dollars more. I got the six-piece wings. It’s really quite complex as far as the options are concerned: I got the ghost pepper rub with blackened ranch dressing. Insanely good. The workers (the most vocal one looking exactly like an actor that I’m familiar with but can’t name) there were super cool celebrating my Thelemic All right, let’s go’ attitude! Drop it all off— being in the middle of the night—the location felt like right in the middle of nature And it was so cosmic!

Ordered online and picked up my food. Got home to eat and found this in my chicken breast. My son ate here yesterday and puked all morning. Now I see why. Gross and will not be returning. On the positive side the manager today was very understanding and had great customer service.

First time here and to be honest I had some bad experiences this company, but not this one! The food was hot and fresh the three that made my night better were Mya Chg and Iyaire I hope I spelled the names correctly. These three made a 7 hr drive on the highway and I could have eaten anywhere, worth the stop. Thank you three for giving me the best food and best upbeat attitude. You three did a great job making me smile. Thank you!!

Absolutely LOVE this Popeyes location. Frequently visit as a customer and delivery courier. The staff are awesome, friendly, quick, and the food is fresh. Deliveries are packed and ready to go upon arrival. Drive thru moves swiftly even late night when the lobby is closed. The corporate office should study the processes and management of this location because comparatively, they put every other Popeyes to shame.

Had the 3 piece chicken advertised for $5.00 a sign on the windows and on the counter. Refused to give us the special and asked to see the manager. The manager also refused and my husband said I won’t be back and her response was I don’t care! This went to the wrong location as it was meant for the one at 291 & 24 Hiway!

Pick up is best, it’s a good idea to pickup instead of Grubhub or similar 3rd party as it is fresh, you can choose the many options. One question I have is about the wings, when I used to order wings I would get the complete wing, now they are separated, so you get the drumette and the the double bone portion of the wing. Popeyes chicken is still my favorite, don’t forget the biscuits!

Just called the manager and want to make a comment on here about my experience. Came by this Independence, MO Popeyes about 3 weeks ago to get some chicken and noticed the ad for cajun turkey. Was curious. Thought I would come back by sometime and order that with their mashed potatoes and gravy. When I got to the window and asked about it the manager Billy came to the window to tell me that it was a whole frozen turkey. I was surprised they sold a whole frozen turkey. Then I said, I’m really curious what that tastes like and he said that he loves them. He won’t buy another turkey now. Mentioned the taste was so good and that it was so tender it will fall off the bone. Said he sold 20 to someone yesterday. This manager literally sold me because when I asked how much it was and found out it was $60 not including tax I had to step back a second and think but he sure convinced me how amazing it was and I thought… ok…. I have to try this. So I bought one. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!! HE DIDN’T LIE!!!!!!!!!! I will be buying this turkey every year. Understand why someone bought 20. Cooked it even a little longer than the hour and a half because it was still frozen some. It literally did what he said. When I cut the leg and pulled on it with the intention of pulling off the meat to slice it… it literally fell off the bone whole. I was like… well…. that part of what he said was true. Then when it came time to eat it. So tender, so delicious.. especially with the cajun gravy I got the day before from popeyes. Sold me forever! Every year I will be buying this turkey and in my opinion it is worth every penny!!! Thank you Billy!

I would say this is your standard Popeyes. I think this is also a corporate store. This is a newly opened location and the staff does seem to be friendly and work to please the customer.
