I ordered through the Popeyes mobile app and prepaid $19.42 for a 9-piece spicy signature chicken order (dark meat) at this location. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told they did not have any chicken available and were not allowed to give dark meat, despite that being exactly what I ordered and paid for. ((They did have plenty of dark meat and were not running low or out of it))
Inside the store, there was literally a printed sign taped to the register that said:
“NO ALL DARK OR DARK HEAVY ORDERS – Sorry for the inconvenience”
So they knew they couldn’t fulfill dark meat orders but allow it to be on the app and are able to edit this off of the app, but still allowed mobile orders for dark meat and still took my money. That’s not an inconvenience—that’s knowingly selling something you can’t provide. PURE THEFT!! NO REFUND GIVEN..
The staff offered no real solution, no substitutions, and no refund at the store. I was told to request a refund through the app. The app makes that nearly impossible.
I contacted in-app support twice. Both times the automated system:
• Confirmed my order and the charge
• Acknowledged an open support ticket
• Refused to connect me to a human
• Ended the chat and sent a satisfaction survey
When I directly asked why I was disconnected from a human agent, the system simply logged my message and ended the conversation again. No human support. No refund. No accountability.
So here’s the summary:
• Took my money for food they couldn’t provide
• Posted a sign admitting they won’t fulfill dark meat orders
• Still allowed and charged for dark meat mobile orders
• Refused to refund in store
• Automated support refused human escalation
This is not just bad service—it’s unacceptable business practice. If you’re going to take prepaid mobile orders, you need to actually have the product or refund customers immediately.
I’ll be disputing this charge through Apple Pay and my bank, and I’ve documented everything with screenshots and photos. Corporate should seriously investigate how this location is operating.
Avoid this location unless you enjoy paying for food you don’t receive.
One was working at the front register and the other was cleaning the lobby. Their names were Sid and Alex. Both of them were super patient with me and kind!! They didn’t try to rush me, offered to help me with the menu and ordering and told me to take my time they didn’t want to rush me out. This is the best fast food experience I’ve had in a long long time and I wanted to say thank you so much. You guys have no idea how much your kindness meant that day. Thanks so so much I genuinely appreciate it!!!
Shouldn’t be called a fast food restaurant and poorly managed. Self checkouts, software is having malfunctions told me that I would have to wait fifteen minutes for a single number two. Immediately asked for a refund. Under trained cashier couldn’t even do that, not that it was his fault. I wasn’t the only one that was having issues. As the dining area was full of people with aggravation on their face drink cups on the table but no food. The guy standing in line next to me was waiting over fifteen minutes for only orders of fries. Manager, instead of rolling up his sleeves and helping his team was putting up holiday decorations like a champ.
Proceeded to try to in indirectly insult me like I don’t understand their pos system by telling his employee “I don’t ever bother explaining to the customer anything because they don’t understand”.
Let me remind you Mr. Manager, you work in a fast restaurant that isn’t fast, you are failing in the most bottom rung of societal employment. I actually happen to work in the IT sector.
Corey and his team they are great I appreciate them forever I think one day I will see this guy on a franchise of Popeye.. or his own restaurant..
