I placed an order on the app about 10 minutes before we got there, and wound up getting it almost 10 minutes after we arrived… from our 10-minute drive. The wait itself wasn’t really an issue, as I understand fast food places can and do get swamped during lunch hours. The issue was the food itself: simply put the price I paid for the quality I got was NOT worth it. I paid $30 for me and my brother meals from there, and I wouldn’t really recommend spending that much for what you got.
We wound up trying the limited edition FNAF 2 meals, which wound up being okay: not good, but not terrible. The garlic cheese curds were cold and rubbery by the time our order was ready, almost like they had made them and put them in the box to wait on everything else. The chicken itself was also “meh”: to say the least, the chicken did all the heavy lifting in the flavor department while the garlic seasoning was just kinda there on occasion. I’ve had a few other meals from here as well in the past and it’s always been a similar issue with food being late AND cold by the time I get it despite being ordered ahead of time, and the flavor itself being okay but not worth the price paid for it.
If you’re passing through and need a quick bite to eat, it’s not a bad option and definitely an easier to get to option compared to some places there along Keller Drive, but if you want quality food, I would advise going to somewhere else there… except maybe Long John’s, which I’ve had consistently worse experience with.
To everyone else ordering takeout, my advice is to open the box and cross check your order because this location deceives people!
14.05 for a two piece combo?????
A little more than 1/2 that price on the street.
This franchisee should be ashamed of itself, taking advantage of drivers because they are a captive audience and in most situations don’t have a choice. They are doing it because they can, no other reason.
Corporate greed at its finest
Food was fine and employees were fine.
In short, worst Popeyes experience I’ve ever had.
idk could have been a wrong time but they also seemed impatient and not too kind
and the mac and cheese i ordered looked like a dry biscuit on the outside
Also the staff was super helpful and even came out to the car when something on the order had been missed.
I’ve dined in with the kids too, it’s always a beautiful day at the Effingham TA!

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had!
I went into the restaurant because of a clear deal shown on the electronic screen:
“10 Piece Chicken (Family Meal) + Large Side for $23.99”
But even though the advertisement was right in front of me, they refused to honor it and said it wasn’t available!
So I placed a different order instead, but the food was terrible cold and tasted old, like it had been sitting there for hours.
To make things worse, the employee’s attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional, as if they didn’t care about customers at all.
Even though I’ve always liked Popeyes, unfortunately, choosing this location at that moment was a big mistake.
There’s absolutely no reason to choose this branch, and I truly regret walking in.
What’s surprising is that this Popeyes is surrounded by much better restaurants like:
Chipotle, Panera, Panda Express, Taco Bell, Shake & Shack, and many more.
If this branch keeps treating customers this way, people will definitely stop coming.
I do NOT recommend this Popeyes at all a terrible experience from start to finish.
