Love me some Popeyes! The food was amazing as always. The service was top-notch and friendly. Everyone working was smiling and super nice. The only thing I could be picky about was the inside was a little dirty. The store is too new for it to look dirty and run down. I’m sure it’s mostly drive-through, but still. Other than that, all was fabulous.

Fried chicken is good but service is not up to the level. I stayed in East Peoria for 2 weeks this is a good option to have fried chicken. Mostly credit card options won’t work for them better to have cash.

I will NEVER go back to this location ever again. I understand that it’s tough getting help these days, but the service at the East Peoria IL Popeye’s is the absolute worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. EVER. I stood at the counter for over 10 minutes waiting to even be acknowledged by the man working behind the counter. When he finally “did me a favor” to talk with me, first thing out of his mouth was “cash only…or you gotta wait for (the woman working drive through) to take your order.” Without telling the woman in drive-through that I was waiting, he continued to ignore me and then ignored woman behind me in line who made it clear she had cash for her and her kid’s order. The manager, in drive through (only one car in drive through when I left WITHOUT ANY FOOD) made no efforts at all to help. Whoever owns this location should fire all of them. If I could give ZERO STARS I would….and that is terrible because I have been a big fan of Popeye’s for 25 years

They only take orders one at a time in the Drive-Thru here. They won’t take an order until they’ve served a car at the window. 20 and 30 minute wait times are common at the drive-thru. It’s like falling through the sands of time. Good sandwich but can’t stand the wait. I end up leaving the drive-thru more times than ordering when I decide to try to stop here

Ordered ghost pepper wings deal and chicken sandwich on their APP. Was told they were out of ghost pepper wings. The women at the counter ignored us completely and when asked for assistance, annoyed and said that we can ask for refund on their APP. The manager guy came to help while he was obviously busy with the drive-thru ordering, told us again that the ghost pepper wings were out. Since we were on a road-trip, we still want to get our food. So I asked the manager to switch the ghost pepper wings to chicken sandwich so at least we can have something to eat. I can definitely hear the woman at counter telling the manager with an attitude that we would like to have our ghost pepper wings be replaced.

I was at this Popeyes on June 19th. I was getting no answer at the drive through after 5 minutes. Went inside and was told th card reader inside wasn’t working and had to go through the drive through if I was going to pay with a card I would need to go through the drive through. I then proceeded to pull around and order my food. My order wasn’t right and later that evening I had roughly $500 of fraudulent charges on my new card when was only used at this establishment. I would not trust returning to this place under any circumstances.

I ordered on the app and went through drive through. They said they had a policy that you had to come in and verify. Which I don’t know what you can verify inside that you can’t through the drive through. I have bad anxiety and the whole reason I order on the app is to not go in. So I asked a couple questions and drive through worker threw major attitude. Overall bad experience there. The Peoria one is much better.

Shockingly slow. We were greeted as soon as we pulled up in the drive through and told she’d be right with us. We sat in the drive through for 12 mins before being able to order. Update: took another 20 mins to get our food. Update #2: woke up this morning with 11 fraudulent charges on my card. Great place!

If I could give this place no stars, I absolutely would because 1 star is too much. I have had nothing but bad experiences with every Popeyes location from here to the cities, and sadly, it doesn’t ever get any better.
