I love Popeyes and if they actually made the food correctly it would have a much better rating but the specific location frequently make items incorrectly. This is the second time in a row that I’ve ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and it’s had a quarter-sized dab of spicy mayo on it and 1 pickle. I was so excited when the store came to our area but I think I’m done with it all together. I have a limited time for my lunch break and if they don’t have five extra seconds to make my sandwich right then I don’t have any time at all to give their store any business.

Also there’s never anybody at the counter and it seems impossible to get their attention at times if you were eating at the store.

I definitely recommend Popeye’s somewhere else but not at this location.

I ordered Popeye’s that was delivered by Door Dash who left it at my door. I opened my door and I immediately knew the soda I ordered wasn’t in my order. I opened the taped bag and the large Cajun fries and one chicken sandwich I ordered were missing and I was charged for them as they were clearly on my receipt. The last two times I ordered from Popeye’s before this in Peru, I was missing items I ordered and was charged for them. Both previous times, I let it go. This time, I called Popeye’s and was told that I could come back at anytime and they would replace my entire order free of charge. I drove to Popeye’s about 2 hours later to get what I was promised and was told that they usually only replace what was missing and they claimed they only forgot to give me the soda I ordered. So, they insinuated that I was lying to them. The person I spoke to (they conveniently never tell me their names) told me that they would replace my entire order just this once since that’s what I was told. I made it clear that I will never be coming back and the response I received was “not a problem.” They obviously don’t care. This is a real shame because I actually enjoy the food at Popeye’s, but I will never order from the Peru location ever again.

Place is filthy, and proportions are awful. The biscuits and chicken tenders were delicious and fresh. Fries tasted good mashed, and Mac was okay, but not for the price. This place could succeed with some proper staffing and management, but avoid it for the time being

I was a bit reluctant to stop in after reading a few reviews, and having only ever visited another Popeyes location numerous times before, thus having higher expectations. Staff was quick to greet, take my order, and provide a quality meal I was grateful for after being on the road for some time. If you had a bad experience here before, I’d give them another chance. I left happy and pleasantly surprised.

This Popeyes location is a very unreliable location for edible food. Messed up my online order, forgot 5 pieces of chicken, then proceeded to tell me I had to complain online to initiate a refund. Have a bunch of kids working there that don’t have a clue what they are doing. Chicken was hard and dried out. Don’t go there, if you want an edible meal. Also management in store and corporate do not care what happens as long as they get their money.

Friendly staff for the most part, stays fairly clean. The sandwiches, and individual fried pieces come out pretty good. Avoid the wings. Every time I have gotten them, they come out very dry, especially the boneless ones. I only get them because they’re free with certain rewards.

Me and the family spent $50 and the food was not fresh. I expect fresh and hot food. The chicken and the fries were lukewarm. My daughter could barely chew her chicken. On top of that the bbq sauce were in containers that weren’t even half way full. Please do better.

This is one of the best popeye chickens that I’ve ever been to always hot food courteous and never take too long on your orders. The ones in rockford stay far far away. They’re slow.
