Ordered a 4 piece chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and drink. The service was quick, courteous, and efficient. The food was hot, flavorful, and plentiful.

Its was disappointing to be asked for my drink. The fountain machine was inoperable and the only drink available was iced tea. Thankful the tea tasted well.

This was my first visit to the location. Something tells me that the drink situation is a regular occurrence. I could be wrong.

Saturday, at 1:15pm, they served me old and burnt chicken. Also, the lady at the drive thru had a nasty attitude. You get screwed in the drive thru! Not good business!

I hate the food is good because the service is horrible. The wait inside is just as bad as the wait outside and the drive thru was being served first.
It took over 20 minutes for me to wait in line and order, there were 4 people in front of me.then another 10 for me to receive my food. So I noticed the air fresheners, lack of garbage and condiments.
One person even tried to use the drink machine and it didn’t work. The manager had to come turn it on with a key. Then when the lady went to use it a piece to the machine busted off into her cup.
Finally I ordered and I was given my money back but he shorted me my change and when brought to their attention he looked mad I wanted all my money.
Overall, this place and the one down the street are always slow, dirty, and sometimes rude. I watched some people work and another just stand there and watch.

I came in this Popeyes ANGRY! I place an order on the app and payed on the app for 74th and stony island, when I arrive they stated they are closed without no explanation. I asked how do I get my money back and the young lady told me go back through the app. I asked for the manager and she told me we don’t have any control and were closed. I drove all the way to the location on stony island hoping to get some help with returning my money and spoke with the manager Latrice. She was a breath of fresh air. Not only did she apologize for another stores issues, she replaced my order in a timely fashion. She is what is needed in Popeyes. She has excellent customer service, she is empathetic and polite. I hope someone reaches out to me so I can tell a higher up just how amazing she truly was.

I moved here a year ago and was only ever to get food here once. Everytime I walk in to order, the place is a mad house, the staff is out of items and missing orders. Today I was craving it so I ordered ahead at 5:40 pm. Walked up there just after 6 for a single chicken sandwich and they were still on orders in the 30s and my order was 56. The manager was just bitching but not helping her obviously under trained employees. They were struggling and she was just complaining the whole time. Everyone in line waiting was pissed just watching her. They had so many missing receipts and couldnt find orders because the printer got jammed a long time ago and the manager didnt bother to fix that problem until they had people almost waiting an hour for simple item. They need help. Give the poor kids a raise for having to deal with that kind of leadership.

This location has what has to be the worst service from any Popeyes restaurant anywhere in the city! Always slow to fulfill orders. For instance, I came here several weeks ago after placing an online order while on a nearby street corner. It took the staff 35 minutes to get my order ready despite the facility not being busy. Other than me, there were four customers in the lobby.

There is always at least one thing that is missing from many customers’ orders. Today 5/17/25, I am missing blackened ranch from my order despite my receipt and email receipt listing it. Other than these issues, the food meets my expectations on taste and freshness, and the location is convenient. I give 2 stars for those factors. Otherwise, I’ll give negative 50 stars if I could!

I stopped by the Popeyes on 87th and Stony to pick up food for someone and went through the drive-thru. The lady who took my order sounded very rude, like she didn’t want to be bothered. I forgot to ask for my order to be made a certain way, so I drove around to the window just to ask.

When I pulled up, Bre opened the window and gave me my total, seeming annoyed. I politely asked what pieces were in the box because I wanted to make a switch. Bre slammed the window and started complaining to another employee about my question. Even though the window was closed, I could hear them asking why I wanted to know what pieces were in the box, as if it was a problem.

Bre came back to the window, still looking annoyed, and told me the pieces. I asked if they could switch a breast for a leg since the person I was getting it for doesn’t like breast. I repeated this request three times. Bre slammed the window again, made the switch, gave me my total, and completed the transaction.

I understand that employees can have long days and deal with difficult customers, especially at night, but if a customer isn’t being rude or difficult, they shouldn’t be treated that way. I’m not sure what was wrong with Bre and the other employee, but they should really fix how they talk to customers and avoid complaining about them within earshot.
