**Friendly employees!** Unfortunately, while they’re doing their best, the process seems overwhelmed as there’s literally just 2 employees operating an entire restaurant. I’ve been waiting over 20 minutes for my order, and they are not to be blamed, they are both working hard and with a great attitude. Additionally, the outdoor lights were off, making the parking lot extremely dark and potentially unsafe. I don’t blame the employees—they’re working hard under tough conditions. It’s clear they need more support from Popeyes to improve the customer experience.
Popeyes should consider increasing staffing during peak hours and ensuring that outdoor lighting is properly maintained. This would help speed up service and create a safer, more welcoming environment for customers.

I had a great experience at Popeyes. The food was fresh, hot, and made exactly how it’s supposed to be. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.
I also want to recognize the manager, Willie. His professionalism, leadership, and customer service stood out. He made sure everything was running smoothly and made customers feel welcome and respected. It’s rare to see management that present and attentive.
Overall, the service was excellent, the food was on point, and the environment was positive. Willie is doing a great job leading his team when he is on duty, and it definitely shows.

Stopped by Popeyes for some $5 faves and I had a really good experience. Everything tasted on point and was made right and fresh. I especially want to recognize the manager on shift Will and crew member Vell. Will was professional, he was making sure everything was handled the right way. Vell had a great attitude, was respectful, and made the service feel genuine, he even walked me and my food to my vehicle…lol safety and good service. You can tell they both take their jobs seriously and care about the customers. It’s always a good feeling walking into a place where the team is respectful and the food is consistent. Willie and Vell made this visit stand out. My first experience here was not so great but I’m all about 2nd chances, I am glad this location is making some changes.

I visited this location on January 11, 2026, around 2:30 pm, and the experience was unexpectedly uncomfortable.
I had previously visited and been treated pleasantly, which is why this stood out. I was abruptly told to come inside from the drive-thru without explanation as soon as I pulled up to the speaker. Then, the employee frustratingly told me to pull to the window instead to place my order. Confused, I pulled up to the window. There was no greeting, just silence and a tense stare. I placed my order, the 3 piece signature chicken for $5, spicy. My total was given while the employee’s back was turned as he had walked away from me, and there was no communication beyond that. I felt like a bother, like my patronage was a burden.
I understand people have off days, but basic courtesy and clear communication make a big difference. The interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily tense, and I ultimately left without getting any food as I hadn’t paid yet because the employee dismissively walked away from me. Terrible experience.

I really wish this location was better, because Sauk Village deserves good food and good service. Unfortunately, this Popeyes has been consistently disappointing for a long time.
Orders are often incorrect, the food doesn’t taste fresh, and items like biscuits and chicken frequently come out dry or overcooked. It also seems like there’s a lack of oversight or quality control, the customer experience really depends on who’s working that day.
Nothing happened during a single visit; this is based on repeated experiences over time. I’m hoping someone from management or corporate takes a closer look at this location, because the community would really benefit from better service and better quality.
I truly want this Popeyes to improve, and I’m sharing this in hopes that it gets the attention it needs.

You know I’m please to finally give this place 5 stars cause I really enjoy the food from here. I ordered a New! 6 Classic Boneless Wings Sweet, Heat. Signature Hot. and Regular. All of them were just perfect. Hot to serve. Meaning fresh out of the fryer. And finally for once I got the sauce I wanted with my food. I wanted Blacken Ranch. Always have had issues with this location and today was the last straw due to the manager on duty, Willy. I had several issues with my experience on multiple instances. I ordered online to save some time but that didn’t help at all. First, employee stated they did not have Diet Coke. Then they didn’t have the Cupcake cup that comes with the meals I ordered. They offered to substitute both items which I agreed to. They requested I park in front but forget to bring out my second drink and asked for me to pull to the drive thru window a second time. I get my second drink and pull off but then decide to check my bag for the entire order. Well they only gave me 1 pie even though I had 2 meals and they forget the marinara sauce for both meals. I have to reenter the drive thru again. I ask the worker for the missing items and she says I have to come inside. I told them I would wait at the drive thru window but the worker again insists I come inside the building because they are on a timer. That’s when the manager Willy interjects from the kitchen and instructs the worker to refuse service to me. I reluctantly agreed to come inside to address my concerns. I felt that the manager shouldn’t have made that comment to begin with as he later explains that he didn’t completely understand the issue being addressed in the drive thru. He called me combative as well even though I was just trying to get my issue resolved which was caused by the employees for not paying enough attention to the orders. When I arrive home, to my surprise the food is cold. I will likely never return to this place as the service given is completely unprofessional and disrespectful to their customer base and the food quality is terrible. Unavailable menu items, missing items from my food order, bad quality food, and to top it off bad customer service.

I would Like to Share my experience by saying DO NOT EAT HERE I Repeat DO NOT EAT HERE.! Their staff is completely unprofessional I Ate here 10/06 I wanted to try the new hot ones meal so I came here after placing an online order 15 minutes prior before I arrived I still ended up leaving 35 minutes after I got there with no line at all and than when he finally brought my food out he was missing everything I’ve ordered I addressed it and still waiting about 15 minutes for a chicken sandwich the food ended up being all thrown together and sloppy also the employee that brought my food to me was on his phone the entire time pants hanging off his bottom and seem to be very confused maybe high on drugs or something because I kept mentioning the order was wrong he didn’t even know what the hot ones meal was.! but he didn’t look too well place is very unsanitary as well they seem to hire anybody with an pulse should seriously consider getting another manager to run this place I would never eat here again if my life depended on it.!

Subject: Poor Customer Service Experience
I had a very disappointing experience with the manager on duty during my recent visit. He was extremely rude and refused to prepare my food or offer any substitute, claiming there were no sides available. However, when another manager on the phone authorized a substitution, he still refused and began arguing with us instead. To make matters worse, he later offered the next customer a chicken-only substitution.
This was an unacceptable and frustrating experience, and I hope this issue is addressed promptly.
