This was the WORST experience ever. I mobile ordered an 8 piece family meal half regular half spicy. NONE of the regular was in the bag. When I called to complain they accused me of lying to them and said it was a big box. No kidding. The big box had 4 pieces of chicken. When I asked to have the rest delivered they said no. When asked for the order to be refunded to my original purchase they said no. Instead I get my name written on a piece of paper with a credit for only half the money I spent. Well done Popeyes. I love the chicken but I’ll never go there again. So sad that this is what service has come to.

Safe to say I will never order from here again. I don’t even know what the hell this is but while eating my mashed potatoes, I ate a thick rubbery gross mass… obviously the kitchen here is NOT CLEAN- NOR MAINTAINED. This was absolutely disgusting and I was unable to finish the rest of my meal. My appetite is gone and you’ve lost a long time customer. How gross and disappointing. Thank you Popeyes of Round Lake Beach for ruining Popeyes for me forever. Shame on you.

I think this is the best Popeyes in lake county and the safest to eat at. Clean atmosphere and convenient location. The only downside i would say is that when ordering the family box they put a lot of big back pieces in the box. Everything else about this place is great. Stay away from the Gurnee one unless you want to be sick. Round Lake is hands down the better one
Edit ** I don’t know what happened with this location but the last few times I ordered wings they were under cooked. This is how you get people sick and give them salmonella poisoning. Fry the chicken so that its cooked on the inside. I keep trying to give it a chance but just about every time this has been happening.

Lived here for years and this Popeyes truly sucks, it’s like no matter what you tell them they make a completely different order. It’s almost like they make you whatever they want to make you. I’m not super picky extra ranch and some honey and whatever food I’ve ordered… but it never fails ever time I leave I’m missing a side or have 1 singular ranch for 2 ordered or chicken tenders, maybe it’s my fault at this point I don’t check everytime I leave but it’s kind of ridiculous, I’m not the type to write a review either but if you try to give them a call in hopes they’d have some hospitality to fix the meal you’d be wrong… the phone disconnected.

This marks the very 1st review for a Popeye’s and this location is truly the best around, at least any location within a 20 mile radius from my house in Beach Park.
This past May was the 1st time in at least 2 years dining here but I can see how my folks love this location compared to any other location in Lake or Kenosha County.
It’s kept ultra clean/sanitized, food is always hot & fresh and obviously tasty and the customer service is top notch. The Waukegan location which is the closest to where I live is the absolute worst I’ve been to.
Keep servin’ up that delicious grub and I’ll gladly come back and visit for more!

I’ve been to many Popeyes in the USA and some in Canada and the one in Round Lake is the best one in North America. It’s clean, service is fast and they turn over so much food that it’s always fresh and hot. They stay close to the original flavors and consistency. The chicken tastes good. The biscuits are baked well. The rice tastes clean and has the right texture and the red beans are not too thin and usually have the right flavor.
Worth going to if you’re looking for a good Popeyes.

I can’t believe the quality and size of this chicken! It’s Terrible! The wings are so small I’m not even sure it’s from a chicken! You don’t get a full breast piece anymore, it’s a half of a breast cut horizontally instead of down the breast bone, so you get the back bones and spine right in the middle. The legs are the only thing that hasn’t changed . Not to mention the meat is dry and chewy like jerky meat. Prices went up and quality went way down! Pictures are wings then 2 breasts front and back and next 2 thighs that are now the size of what the wings used to be.

I can’t believe that I’m writing this because this #popeyes that I visited a few weeks ago called the cops on me after I purchased 2 8 pieces of chicken on the app and showed up and no chicken was there and the was told to move along after Catherine the manager verified that my receipt was for their store and was correct. She said it’s not in our system, “what do you want me to do? Move along!” I said, “no not without my money or my chicken, because you are being rude.” She closed tje drive through window, but not before saying, “oh yeah, I’ll make you move!” Other things were said obviously, but the gist of it was I was told to move along multiple times. My daughter and my friend on the phone could not believe this was happening. I closed my window to preserve my AC. Shortly after, I saw two police officers coming one behind amd one infront with puzzled looks on their faces. They eventually told me that the manager told them that I was being belligerent, uncooperative and loud. They were in shock as that is not what they saw when they came and had to ask if they were sure this was the car. #Popeyes weaponized the police on me for something that they messed up and was rude with. I’ve been waiting for weeks for them to address it and the customer service is telling me to go back to the store and speak to tje manager. Are you kidding me? I’m not even sure why I’m writing this but this is the most embarrassing thing to happen. They erased the receipt from their system. Though I have it printed. They told the officer that they told me to cancel from the app which is impossible. Just the worst service!

Everytime I’ve ordered from this location the order is accurate, tastes great, & fast & friendly service. I deliver for uber eats so I see a lot of restaurants over & over & notice grease marks & fingerprints all over many front doors, dirty counters, etc but not this location. Everything always looks clean, they have lots of hot food they keep making while selling so much, so theres always plenty. All the employees are always running around working hard, nobody is ever just standing! And they are all very friendly. Everybody seems to put in teamwork so everything runs efficiently. There is an amazing crew here & with that being said they must have one awesome manager! I cant say enough good about you guys! Way to go & keep up the good work!! -Rachel-❤️
