I ordered a boneless chicken meal, clasic flavor, with a regular Coke. I left confidently, seeing that my order was correct on the screen. As I was leaving, I tasted my soda and realized they had given me Dr. Pepper, so I went back to exchange it. I don’t like the taste of Dr. Pepper. When I got home and was about to eat, I realized my boneless chicken was covered in BBQ sauce (which I don’t like). I went back to exchange them (you pay for what you order!), and the person at the drive-thru window, instead of apologizing for THEIR mistake, responded with a very rude attitude, telling me that I had ordered BBQ sauce on my boneless chicken. He told me to come back tomorrow because the kitchen was already closed. I asked him for the receipt, and when I got to the window, he handed me my receipt, and it turned out that my order was correct! How is it possible that he checked my order and still had the nerve to tell me that I had ordered BBQ sauce on my boneless chicken? A terrible experience, awful service at the drive-thru window with the guy who’s always there. I hope they improve their customer service because honestly, if you don’t like your job, I don’t know what you’re doing working there.

My own experience this time is that the chicken had way too much flour. Almost as if it was fried twice with double batch of flour. I know fried chicken is bad for your chloresterol. That is exactly WHY it should be perfect when I decide to eat some. Most of the time it is delicious. However, don’t really know what happen today. The butter biscuits were very fresh today. Seems like all restaurants are changing. Not always for the better.

Went in to get a meal on my lunch break and forgot to mention I had a coupon. The manager Hispanic man with glasses had a whole attitude. Rolled his eyes and clearly did not hide the fact that his was upset by it. I did not spend my money with him I would not be treated unkindly by anyone and this isn’t his first time. Popeyes need to review his customer service skills because they losing money because of him every penny counts

Very disappointing experience at this store.
They consistently miss items in my orders. Last time, an entire box was missing and I had to drive back to pick it up. Today, two pieces were missing from my bag. This only happens at this location.

If you want a proper Popeyes experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this store. I even called the manager to share my feedback, but she disconnected the call. The employees’ attitude is also very rude and unprofessional.

Subject: Formal Complaint – Green Bay Rd, North Chicago Location

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at the Popeyes location on Green Bay Rd in North Chicago during the 10:30 shift.

The employee taking drive-thru orders stopped responding to customers and would not answer the speaker. When a customer drove up to the pickup window to place the order, the employee told them they needed to go back through the drive-thru line instead of assisting them. He then escalated the situation by threatening to call the police if the customer did not move their vehicle.

This behavior is unprofessional, unacceptable, and not how customers should be treated. I would like to know if this reflects Popeyes’ customer service standards and what actions will be taken to address this issue.

I expect a response regarding how this matter will be handled.

Absolutely horrible customer service experience with Freddy! I placed an online order for a family meal directly on the website and had it delivered. Upon receiving my order, I immediately noticed I was given a mixed chicken order when I clearly selected all dark meat. I called and politely informed the person I spoke with that my order was not correct. Freddy then told me there is not selection for dark, white or mixed and they gave me what they had. I told him that I have my receipt and it states DARK MEAT. He said “oh well, we do not see that on our side so I cannot do anything about it”. I offered to drive there and show my receipt but again he said there was nothing they could do. I said that’s not true because I’ve ordered online before and made the same selection and received the correct order but he was still adamant even though he was wrong. I asked for someone else who could resolve the issue and he told me to go online. This is not how you treat customers who choose to patronize an establishment you work for. My family will not be ordering from here again!

I’ve been to this location twice and had issues with my order both times. There was a language barrier the first time giving my order and the second time at the window. Both times, the manager came to the window. He was rude the first time and short with me the second time. Part of my food was also tepid. Then I had to ask for extra condiments three times!! I had to pay for extra honey just to get home and the biscuits were not hot.

I sat here reading these reviews and truly do not understand how the manager here treats people this poorly and remains in his position. This business thrives off SERVICE!! Popeyes, you’re a chain! Please do better!!! SMH…..

This place is an absolute joke. I pulled up to the drive-thru and told the manager I had a coupon. When I read him the code, he literally said, “No hunny, that’s not a code.” Very unprofessional for a manager. I told him I’d show it at the window and continued my order.
At the window, the lady tells me the coupon is online only. Fine. Then she takes my card, gives it back, and immediately asks for it AGAIN. I watched her tap it twice. Sure enough, I checked my bank and saw she double charged me. When I called her out she admitted it and said she refunded me. If I hadn’t checked, she clearly wasn’t planning to say a word.What made everything worse was calling the store. FREDDY answered, and he was flat-out rude. I barely started explaining what happened before he cut me off with, “We gave you a refund, I don’t understand the issue.” When all I asked how long refunds take, he told me, “That’s not our problem, call your bank.”
The attitude, the disrespect, the double charge, the lack of accountability it’s unbelievable. And on top of that, they only handed me this tiny receipt with no refund proof. I will NEVER come back to this location. If this is how management behaves, the whole place needs to be retrained.

The manager and the lady at the windows was so rude. No one was answering the drive thru so I pulled up to the window hoping to place an order. He said go back around and closed the window on me. I do recommend giving them business until new staff is hired.
