I had the pleasure of checking out the brand-new Popeyes location in Des Plaines, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer for late-night cravings and top-notch service. From the moment I walked in, the staff impressed me in every aspect – friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. They truly bring back that old-school hospitality and service that’s been missing from the industry lately.
What sets this spot apart? It’s open until 4 AM, perfect for those after-hours munchies, and conveniently located right next to a Tesla charging station, making it an ideal pit stop for EV drivers. The food was spot-on – crispy, flavorful chicken just like Popeyes is known for, served up hot and fresh without any wait time issues despite the opening buzz.

Slowest service I have ever received for fast food 15-20 mins to get food out is absolutely ridiculous. They need to figure a new system or something better, prob worse popeyes I’ve been too. By the time we got our food they forgot items on our order, the food was cold and the cheese on the sandwich looked like it was sitting out for days

Great customer service.
Had a concerning experience tonight when ordering sweet tea with our meal. Took a big sip and it tasted like salt water. Took a look in there and saw some specs and pieces of what I hope is nothing else but salt. Called them about it so I hoped they checked the machine and their cups after bringing this concern.

The food sucks…. They gave cold chicken… Only drove 3 min away back to work… And it was cold… And hard…I could barely break the chicken apart when eating my tenders… The girl who took my order seemed ok.. But the Indian dude who brought it didn’t say a word and when I told him he forgot my sauce.. he looked and walked away without saying anything, like oh sorry give me a moment… Like I inconvenienced him but I’m reality they did it to me, because now I’m forced to eat otherwise I have to finish my shift hungry.. the food taste like it was cooked in something that isn’t cleaned often. I will NEVER go back to this place. First time in a long time I having Popeyes and they do this. Gross, even the biscuit tastes bland. Paid over 15 bucks for trash. Fool me once shame on you, can’t fool me twice.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at Popeyes last night around 8:30pm. I ordered a 3-piece chicken tender meal with mashed potatoes and gravy, 3 hot peppers, and an orange drink. I specifically asked the cashier if they could drop my tenders fresh, and I was told yes — with about a 7-minute wait time. I waited patiently, only to be handed the same tenders that had been sitting in the container for over an hour.
When I questioned it, I was told they were fresh, but it was obvious they were not. It’s frustrating to spend your hard-earned money and still receive old food, especially after waiting longer for something that was supposed to be made fresh. Honesty and quality service go a long way, and unfortunately this location missed both.
Very disappointing experience. I won’t be returning.

Dry and hard chicken. Biscuits and fries were cold. Spicy tenders gave heartburn and scratched gums it was so hard. They took forever to come to drive thru window after ordering. Not worth $20

I usually come eat here when I’m charging my Tesla. I wanted to take the time and recognize Stephanie for exceeding my expectations. I had ordered a ghost pepper chicken sandwich and I noticed the bacon and cheese was missing so I walked in and told her what had happened and she immediately replaced it with a fresh one. Her customer service was 10/10! Thank you again Stephanie and idk if this matters but she was blonde and very sweet.

Kiosk wasn’t working, couldn’t order food. Waited for an employee but despite how busy it was no one came to the counter. Couldn’t even wash my hands if I had gotten food because no one was there to give me the code anyways. I ended up next-door at McDonald’s.
