Ordered 12 piece meal online and went to the store to pick it up. There were cars in the parking lot and it was 1130. Went to the door and it was locked. Saw an employee mopping the floor and he quickly went away. I jumped in my car and went to the drive thru. An employee popped on and said I am sorry but we are not going to open for another hour. I told him I had an online order and was there to pick it up. I verified I was at the right store and he said sorry.. I asked that he cancel the order and he said that has to be done online. Went to cancel and was asked why the store was closed and was asked were there employees there. I said yes. And that it where the email chain for reimbursement ended. No response from the online people! I don’t know where customer service has gone! Who has ever heard of a fast food restaurant in a business district not being open at 1130 in the morning? My suggestion avoid this place at all costs! Update** I did get my refund thank you.

Holy cow, ordered my food online, got an estimated time for 4:24-4:39. Showed up at 4:35pm and had to sit and wait for my food I ordered BEFORE I LEFT MY HOUSE for 20 minutes. The owner has been ordered to sell all locations because they can’t even meet the already low expectations set by Popeyes corporate. All des Moines locations are disgusting and staff never seem to care no matter which location you go to. Owner will try and draw out the sale as long as possible, don’t guve them any business.

Crispy chicken, even with delivery. We did not care for the Mac n cheese but that’s just our opinion. Too cheesy/greasy if you can believe it!
Biscuit fluffy and fresh. They did not include butter, silverware, or napkins with the delivery which was a bummer.
Chicken was great. Like I said- nice a crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. It was $18.50 for a 3 piece meal but that included delivery charge and tip. It was enough for me and an 8 year old so still not bad.

Wouldn’t even rate this a one star. My father and I ordered our food through drive thru and ate once we got home. The fries were cold and stale, the chicken was slimy. Halfway through our meal I noticed my biscuit had mold on the bottom on it. Absolutely disgusting. I believe this could’ve easily been prevented if they took more time to throughly prepare their food. This goes to show how careless this location is. Hoping the rest of my meal was actually edible.

Place looked abandoned,when we got here a homeless looking person was sitting outside smoking, upon pulling up he was wearing a Popeyes visor. Upon entering it was clean, once ordered, we waiting over 20mins had to ask where out order was. The warmers were full when we got there, we were only people I’m establishment. It was also very hot in there. It was cooler sitting outside. The parking lot has a chunk of cracked cement over a man hole cover that is very wobbly,a car tire would park right on it of using that spot,even stepping on it someone could get injured and it would be a law suit. I grew up on the south side, it’s a disappointment when I see and establishment in shambles. Pulling out is when we discover the cracked wobbly concrete over manhole cover,my husband’s vehicle actually got stuck. He went and informed the staff and they didn’t seem to care,and it wasn’t their problem.

I frequent my local spot, but they frequently make mistakes regarding orders. From forgetting to include your chosen dipping sauce to not having the menu item you really want and desire in inventory. Good food quality though.

I wasn’t expecting their classic fries and shrimp to be somewhat spicy. I had the classic shrimp basket. The fries were okay. They weren’t crispy at all. The shrimp were very crunchy and looked oily. It was like they were cooked to long and just soaked up the oil. The coke was good but forgot to give us straws. The employs I interacted with were nice.
