My first time going. I normally don’t care for fried chicken. My daughter wanted it, so I obliged. I have to admit its really good! I had the ghost pepper sandwich, and will definitely return. Nice suprise!

Do not place an order at night for this location. I’ve now witnessed the night shift manager Pierre and one other team member eating food intended for customers. They are preparing food without handwashing or gloves. I waited over 23 minutes for an order long enough to see this. One employee, Nick was scrambling trying to run the register, drive thru, and make sandwiches during a dinner rush. He asked for help multiple times ( Pierre the manager), but received no assistance. He’d touched the register, his face, and hair; but did not wash his hands or put on gloves before preparing sandwiches.
There were 5 of us as customers waiting at the register, Pierre yelled, ” Be patient, then said, ” Great job team! He seemed very disgruntled when I addressed how I saw him eating out of the food bin. I reported his conduct to corporate and waiting on a promised call. The day shift at this location is professional, has better hygiene, and is definitely more timely!

I first went through the drive through but couldn’t decide on what I wanted so I went inside. A gentleman named Reggie helped me and was just amazing. It took me quite awhile to order and I changed my order a few times while ordering and he never once made me feel as though I was being too much. He was very polite and pleasant and called me mamm the entire interaction. His customer service is amazing and honestly very refreshing in these current times. This guy seriously needs a raise!!

I recently ordered online Feb 6th 2026 @ 6:40 pm. Total of $31.01 and when I arrived at store #10342 id notice that no one was wearing hair nets or gloves. I then tried to communicate it to one of the young ladies and immediately I was met with resistance. I shared that they were supposed to wear hair net and gloves when handling food because of cross contamination. The Drive thru person was taking money and without washing their hands went straight and fix food. They never fixed my order and called the police on me said that I was being disrespectful by saying anything and one young lady mentioned that I should call my boyfriend and have him come and spray me whatever that meant. When the police I was told to go to the app and cancel my order but there was no way of doing that because they were not going to fix it.

I feel if you go through the drive thru they give you anything since you won’t check it until you get home.
The biscuit was hard as a rock it was over baked. The chicken had so much hard i felt I was eating the coating with little chicken on the bone.
Never again will I pay the expensive price for little to nothing.

On our way back home from shopping in Des Moines, my wife and I stopped at the Popeyes in Altoona for some eats. From the time we entered until full and leaving our experience was the best. I ordered wings, a side of red rice and beans and a cheesecake for dessert. Pam has some chicken legs and coleslaw. The minute we entered the restaurant we were greeted by Lavar at the counter, his man literally lit up the place with his smile and made us feel very welcome. I wasn’t sure which sauce I wanted for my wings so Lavar made a recommendation of what he liked and gave me a sample wing with that sauce, I was sold. This restaurant is a treat, with exceptionally delicious wings and sides and with unmatchable service. Can’t wait until we’re hungry again, we’ll be back for sure, next trip to Altoona.
