For fast food chicken Popeyes definitely hits the spot! I don’t get there often because of the location, but it’s definitely worth the trip for tasty chicken, crispy fries and delicious red beans and rice. The staff is courteous and on the job.

Got some chicken tenders and they tasted like they’d been sitting under someone’s couch for 3 days. So chewy I think it was closer to beef jerky than chicken. The biscuits were just as bad. I was excited when Popeyes came to Midland, but nah y’all can leave.

Where to began . A worker by the name of Megan serviced me today. I’ve never seen such a clean kitchen ever in my life. While when I came in the establishment was busy she still let me know that she seen me and that she would be right with me. This is very rare and unfortunately complicated for most establishments to acknowledge every customer even when you’re busy. She rocked it. I need her to be over all Popeyes chicken because this was the best experience I’ve had. I really can’t get over how clean her kitchen was her exceptional return and she needs to be promoted.

Half of my family meal of chicken was left out of my over $50 order. When I called back no apology. Just said would put me in a book to get chicken next time I come in. Manager Gracie took my complaint and also wad there when I came to collect on chicken comp. She was not friendly or apologetic. There was no sense of urgency in the restaurant other customers had missing items in their drive thru order and got the same no care response. There were given their item no apology. Super rude and non welcoming restaurant. I advise anyone thinking of picking up their family chicken from here to reconsider and cook at home. Its expensive small pieces of chicken and terrible service.

NEW LOCATION ALERT
Had to see what all this hype was about.
The first time we tried to try this Louisiana style chicken we couldn’t even get into the parking lot. Literally. No parking spaces and the drive thru line was to the road.
I took a deep breath and settled going across the street.
The next visit was at night. This was a success getting into the parking lot, the drive thru only had one car…I was instantly ready for whatever experience I was about to go on … Louisiana here we come….
Not going to lie, if you don’t know the menu and going thru the drive thru I was confused. I ordered what I felt to be a normal order. Nothing special (that’ll be for a inside trip )
The service was quick. Didn’t wait for too long. Food was hot. The breading on the chicken wings–slapped! The sweet & spicy sauce was delicious!!! The combination of breading(which tasted almost waffle like) and sauce it was a hit!
Mac n cheese. Normal. Nothing special
The cajon fries? Well…. comparable to Rallys.
Biscuit? Small and basic.
I guess I was waiting to be slapped in the face w some Louisiana (whatever that is exactly)
Overall drive thru experience:: basic. The chicken wings w sweet & spicy sauce– 10/10

I ordered 2 big boxes last night, each if which come with 2 sides. The only gave me 3 sides, and forgot a side of fries. No big deal, not worth going back that night for. When i stopped in the next day to get my fries, i was asked if i had called or had my reciept. I said no, but i could bring it up on my phone. I was immediately met with attitude and told nothing can be done without a physical receipt, and then was told she would take care of it this one time, like i should be greatful she was going to give me the food i had paid for. Terrible customer service.

I’m literally not even exaggerating when I say EVERY time I’ve been to the Popeyes in Midland, we wait at least 20 minutes for our food when we go through the drive through. The workers are always rude, and more than once they’ve actually forgotten we were outside waiting for food, so they gave us random extras to try to make up for it. Absolutely terrible experience every time, which sucks because we live so close we were excited for a new option on our side of town. The food is usually good so I try going back every once in a while to see if the service has changed but it’s been like this since they opened and hasn’t changed a bit. This last time, someone had to come out to our car and ask us what our order was again (after already waiting for 10 minutes) because the person who took our order “just didn’t tell anyone”. Highly, highly disappointed for the last time. Likely won’t be back.
Update: this last time we got our food and the chicken tenders are honestly barely even chicken, it’s mostly just breading and they’re just really thin tiny strips. As if our experience wasn’t bad enough

The food is good but unreasonably priced. I spend over $21 for just me. I got their new cheese bites and recieved a container less than half full for $3.99. I called about it and found out that an order is specifically 10 pieces. They are no bigger than anaverage cheese curd. In fact, possibly smaller. A total rip off. Very disappointing.
