The good is really good and I like that they cook in beef tallow (I hope it’s true). the last time I was there when I pulled up to the window, they yelled back if they dropped my order in the fryer yet and the response was they forgot. They said it would be three minutes if I pulled up but it was 15 minutes before my food came out.

I went here because the line was shorter than chik-Fil-a . I Waited 30 min from the moment I was in line to finally getting my food. After paying I was told to pull up forward while they get my Mac n cheese. After maybe 10 min the lady comes out asking what my order was. I finally got my food. I should’ve checked in the box because I did not get my mashed potatoes that came with my meal. Ordered #7 combo popcorn shrimp with tenders, my side with that was mashed potatoes. As extras I ordered fries and mac n cheese. Popcorn shrimp goes best mixed with mashed potatoes and now I’m missing the best part of my meal.
I won’t come back here due to how slow they move and missing item(s).

I really do enjoy Popeyes, but I’ve become very frustrated with the level of customer service at this location. I know fast food restaurants don’t always have the highest expectations, but it feels like the standards here keep dropping lower and lower.
Recently, I placed an online order and was told I could pick it up through the drive-through. When I arrived, both drive-through lanes were closed. I had to get my small children out of the car in the cold, only to be told the items I ordered weren’t available, even though the app let me order them. They did offer an alternate item, but the missing items were the main reason I ordered in the first place. Had I known they were unavailable, I would’ve chosen a different restaurant.
Most recently, I went through the drive-through for an early lunch. The employee at the speaker told me they were out of several menu items. When I asked what they did have or what they could offer instead, she responded in a short, almost sarcastic tone. There was no one else waiting, and I would’ve been happy to wait for fresh food to be cooked, but that wasn’t even offered.
I want to be a returning customer because I genuinely enjoy the food, when I’m actually able to get what I’m trying to order. I feel like this may be a multi-level issue, and I really hope to see improvements. I’d love to enjoy this location again.

Well, I was really hoping for the best, even though I’ve had bad experiences here in the past. I was hoping things had improved. The service was fine, and as I waited for my food, the guy in the kitchen let me know he was working on it. That seemed promising. I thought, “Well, it will be fresh, and that’s a good thing!”
He brought my bag out with a smile, and I was appreciative. I got a chicken sandwich and some tenders, because I’ve had plenty of Popeyes chicken sandwiches in other locations (not the CLE area) and they are usually awesome.
My chicken sandwich and tenders were so tough, I had to tear at them with my teeth and chew until my jaw was aching. “Tenders” … a funny name for what I was trying to chew. I don’t understand how there can be such a big difference between the Popeyes locations in Mentor and other areas. I mean, I’ve had that experience before, with tough chicken from Popeyes. But how can it be prepared while I wait and then be like something that sat for 2 hours under a heat lamp? I ate it within 5 minutes of leaving the restaurant. How could it be so tough, like shoe leather?
My mistake, I guess. I should have known better. I can’t imagine this location (or the one further east on Mentor Ave) will last much longer, which is sad. I keep hoping there will be improvements, but that is not the case.

Pulled up at 9:45, they close at 11pm. When I pulled up they tried turning all their lights off. When They finally came to the speaker they listed off all kinds of things stating they ran out. All i ordered was sides & I sat there at the window without anyone coming to cash me out & they all hid refusing to walk by the window. Dont work in fast food if you cant simply do your job, its not that hard. You close at 11pm, i had a whole hour and 15 mins until they closed when i pulled up & they couldnt simply give me sides. Worst customer service, everyone who worked tonight needs to be fired. 5 cars pulled in after me and they turned every car away.

This was a terrible experience. Oil went through the drive through and got a diet soda and the advertised 2 piece box meal….breast and wing. The person taking my money at the window (a manager?) was rushed and also trying to listen to a worker asking to take off a Tuesday instead of another day, all while getting my order and taking my money. I had to remind him that I got change back from my payment. Half way home (I live 20 mins away), I took a sip of my soda….and it was root beer, not the diet I ordered. I hate root beer. When I got home to eat, I opened the box of chicken and had 3 pieces…a drum stick, a thigh and a wing. To say I was disappointed is an understatement….I so don’t care for dark chicken meat at all. The price that I paid for this totally wrong and messed up order was way too much, ans the quality of the food I did eat, was poor at best. Iam not going back there.

This location just cannot get it together and it’s sad. I placed a mobile order, came through the drive thru… the person at the window tell me to pull forward cause another employee was bagging up the last of my stuff. Well, after waiting for over 20 minutes, I finally got out of my car and went inside because maybe I ordered the restaurant out and didn’t realize it. Everyone in there is just looking like they have no pep and no step. I told the young lady how long I had been waiting. She asked the name and said she just finished with my order… side eye. Anyways, she gives me my order and said they were out of garlic cheese bites and gave me another side of mashed potatoes in place of it since I already had ordered some. Umm why didn’t you ask me what I wanted if I wanted two mashed potatoes I would have ordered that. It’s my money so where’s my choice. I didn’t even bother because I was already waiting for almost 30 minutes. Just a waste in such a great location.

I don’t mind waiting for food. But it was a long wait. People in the drive through behind me gave up and left. I thought, well the food will be fresh. They brought out my food, the sandwich was just thrown in the foil bag, no white paper around the sandwich as usual. It was a mess. Oh well, I thought at least it’s fresh… and what I got was piping hot chicken on one side and cold and undercooked on the other. I don’t even know how this can happen. Just save your money and go somewhere else. I love Popeyes… but will never go back to this one.

Was my first time trying Popeyes chicken. Got a 3 PC combo with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. And the crispy chicken sandwich. The staff outstanding. Very clean and neat. Service was great. The food hot and amazing. Best chicken by far . Of any national chain. The breading on the chicken. Is unmatched. If you never had it. You need to try it just once. Price is well worth it. Other restaurants just smell like chicken. Lol this place is the real deal. I’m gonna tell a lot of people to check them out. If you been there. Go back and try it once or 3 more times lol
