This location is fascinating. It operates in two completely different dimensions.

Sometimes? Five-star service. So friendly and efficient I start looking over my shoulder like… is this a hidden camera show? Did I win something? The chicken’s hot, the biscuits are buttery, the energy is immaculate. It’s beautiful.

And then there are days like today.

Today I was “yeah, yeah, yeah’d.”

You know the tone. The rapid-fire head nod. The “I got it, I got it.” The confident reassurance that absolutely everything is handled.

Spoiler alert: it was not handled.

Half the order missing. The vibe? Somewhere between mild annoyance and “why are you here.” And listen… mistakes happen. We’re human. I’m not mad about a missing napkin.

But the red beans and rice?

Oh no, girl. You didn’t.

Would give zero stars if I could. Waited over 20 mins for my food to start off because they never told me when ordering that tenders weren’t even made, then ended up giving me the wrong ones anyways. Meanwhile during my wait I asked if I could have something else I meant to order instead (different chicken on the same coupon for same price) and was told with an attitude by the manager that it cannot be changed because it was already rang through the system one way with the code. Umm if its the same price, why would it have needed to be re-rang in the register? Just switch the chicken. After waiting that long they STILL didn’t give me the correct order. Left and noticed literally half my order was missing and had to go back again! The little “manager” Tay or whatever his name is with the smart mouth thought he could get loud and sassy with me when I wanted my money back because I was very much over this entire 30 MINUTE EXPERIENCE AT FREAKING POPEYES- with my toddler at that. Not only did he refuse to refund me, he also tried to refuse to correct my order as well because his feelings were hurt after trying to argue with me. Then while I was waiting on my order to finally get fixed by another employee, he thought it was cute to keep making snide little comments at the counter where I was waiting lol. Had he just given me the other food I wanted to begin with while waiting, literally none of this would have even happened. Extremely ghetto and digusting behavior from a “manager” and I’ll definitely never be back to this Popeyes

Like other reviewers, if I could give zero stars, I would. I just waited in the drive through for a good 5 minutes only to be told there is a FIFTEEN minute wait on ALL chicken! I asked, “How can a chicken place have NO chicken.” This girl was as the rudest I’ve encountered in quite some time. She told me she wasn’t going back and forth with me and did I want to order or not? Proceeded to open the drive through window and have more to say as I drove off.

But here’s the bigger issue…there is literally no way to speak to a customer service rep—just their chatbot. This restaurant has multiple very poor reviews, and nothing seems to be changing.

Popeye’s doesn’t care about customer service. I won’t be patronizing them anymore, but it won’t be until many of us get fed up that will they even care. You all really need to do better.

I honestly never feel the need to leave bad reviews. I’ve worked in food service before, so I fully understand how stressful and chaotic it can get when you’re short staffed. I try to give grace whenever I can. But this experience was actually insane.
This was my first time trying Popeye’s and I was genuinely excited to try it. I really wish I had read the reviews for this location beforehand. That excitement disappeared immediately.
We placed a mobile order ahead of time specifically so we wouldn’t have to wait, and still sat there WAYYYY past our scheduled pickup time (over 20 mins, and we placed the order about 30 mins beforehand). From the second we pulled up, the attitude was awful. The employee at the window kept complaining to us about being short staffed. I understand being stressed, I really do, but that is not the customer’s fault.
The parking lot was basically empty when we arrived, and there was only one other car in the drive-thru. It did not look busy at all.
Our mobile order also said we could pick it up through the drive-thru. After waiting, we were told we had to come inside because of staffing. Fine. But the tone was rude and snarky for absolutely no reason. I even politely said, “Oh, I’m sorry, it said we could go through the drive-thru,” and was met with more attitude.
Then we walk inside and the two employees are basically standing around with zero urgency. And somehow, our food hadn’t even been started, even though we were already about 10 minutes past our scheduled pickup time.
On top of this, they forgot parts of our order, and the ice machines were broken so we got no ice in our drinks. I could complain about much more, but I’ll leave it at that.
I was nothing but kind the entire time and was treated like an inconvenience. Being short staffed is not an excuse to take frustration out on customers.
This completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun first experience. Do better.

Where do I start, we ordered online about an hour before we actually got our food. When we arrived we were told to pull up to the trashcan (which is where we sat for about 30 minutes) as the person who was taking our order was literally entering the building through the back door and told us she had to make it all. It’s an easy order we had 2 spicy sandwiches, 1 classic sandwich, 1 bacon and cheese sandwich (in which the cheese and bacon were old), 3 piece tender box, an extra biscuit, and an extra fry. We didn’t get the fries or the extra biscuit and on top of that long wait the food was old and very inedible. I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog. The tenders were old and to be honest one of them was not even chicken it was old batter or breading (see pictures) this would be different if it was in the middle of the day and we pulled up to the window and ordered this and sat in line for 35 minutes behind other cars also waiting on their food. No we ordered it and drove 15-minutes down the road to the store to pick it up like you would do in this day and age for almost any fast food or regular restaurant. You maybe expect a little bit of a wait given it’s a Friday night and obviously for fresh food. But this…this isn’t it. If I could give 0 stars I would because literally I’ve never had this bad of an experience or let alone chicken that tasted this bad and I’ve eaten food in the Army for the last 12 years of my life. We want a refund and/or our entire order replaced.

DON’T GO HERE!
We ordered a 5 piece meal. My husband came home with 4 thighs, 1 leg and two sides. No mixed chicken, no biscuits. When I called, the manager told me there’s nothing he can do except give us two biscuits. Save your money and time. Don’t go here.

The worst customer service ever. I waited at the speaker for 6mins. Pulled up to drive-thru window and there was a manager and an employee there. The manager was on the phone at the window. There was chicken available and sides and no one would take my order. They literally look at me rolled there eyes and turned there heads.Corporate really needs to come and visit this place. Especially at night. If you dont want to work there quit or find another job its that easy……

STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The absolute worst Chicken I’ve ever had. Went through drive-Thru, placed order and then paid. I was then asked to pull to the front of the building and they would bring out my food. I waited 15 minutes- FIFTEEN!!
I got back to work with my food and my chicken was cold and stale. It was so hard, it wouldn’t break apart. I spent $18 on 5pc tender with fries and a drink. Waste of money. I do not recommend.

A day later I’m writing this and now I’m pissed off all over again.

Zero stars. Ridiculous! ordered 2 chicken sandwiches and 5 piece naked tenders and was given the sandwiches and no tenders, ordered was $23? They told me to pull around to wait for order. Woman handed me order in ripped bag with no tenders, after checking bag I got out of my car to ask her about my order but she was speaking to someone so I waited for her to and she ignored me and walked back inside the store. Horrible experience. Want my $ back and should have read reviews first.

Food was delicious, a nice meal to enjoy outside of dieting during the week. The chicken tenders and biscuits were an experience, certainly something to write home about. Paired with friendly service and conversation to enhance my dining experience made me feel like a valued customer.
