36 minutes in the drive through line had me ready to spit nails, but when I got to the window I softened. What a nice man getting my food and drinks together. He was smiling and kind even though I’m sure everyone he was encountering pulled up with an attitude. I tried the new spicy chicken sandwich combo with fries and a lemonade. The sandwich has some kick, but there is a LOT of breading that makes the already greasy sandwich even more so. I liked the flavor, but found myself pulling hunks of breading off before I took each bite. Delicious lemonade! My daughter got a mild 3 piece tender combo with fries and a Pepsi. She said the chicken was good and that the biscuit was incredible. Be sure to ask for any condiments like ketchup or honey. We also didn’t get any napkins, but I think that was just an oversight.

The manager was so wonderful at the Popeyes’ on Gloster Street in Tupelo, Ms.
I had labs drawn earlier that morning. After entering Popeyes my arm started bleeding badly.
A customer grabbed napkins and the manager went to his office and brought back gauze, alcohol, and bandages. I got the bleeding stopped, arm wrapped, and was fine. He checked on me several times to make sure that I was OK.
I didn’t get his name or the customer that gave me the napkins to hold pressure on my arm, but they were wonderful in helping me.
Thank you to the manager for being extremely kind and worried about me. And, thank you to the customer who gave me the napkins.

Service is HORRIBLE, extremely too long of a wait for chicken. Average wait 15 – 45 minutes. SENSELESS!!!!!!
UPDATE: 12/4/23 still horrible. Did a mobile oder and still had to wait almost 20 minutes after a 10 minute drive after placing the order.

The food is the same at every Popeyes. What makes this Popeyes better is the people working there. We went when they were slammed at lunch and the women at the counter was sweet as could be! I wish we lived closer; I’d go every other day!!!

Popeyes in Tupelo should have not even been discovered. I’m so upset. Like if I would have went I probably would’ve went to jail upset. I ordered online. The young lady in drive through said go park in handicap they was go bring my order. Ok well I did for an hour. Two more cars pulled. The other young lady asked what I had. Bc I guess they forgot about me. I told her. Well she went in 15 minutes passed. They all looking outside still no order. Well I pulled up in front of door. Thy still looking. 10 more minutes looking talking no order. I will never come back to this Popeyes. O and I lost 24.00 bc I left. A picture so why was I waiting a hour and 25 minutes

1st time ordering at this location. I prefer to order from online/app when we are not dining in. It’s quicker at most places. Looked online at Popeye’s menu & it appeared very easy to order ahead online. So we decided to grab some lunch there to eat on the way home rather than another place. We placed our order as we were leaving Longtown Medical. Took about 3-5 minutes to get to Popeyes. There was a huge line in drive thru. I chose drive thru pickup & knew this would give more than enough time for our small order. Let them know I had online order & they confirmed receiving it. Finally got to the window & they hadn’t even started our order apparently. I was told to pull up & there was barely enough room. We waited almost 40 minutes in the hot sun. Everyone else received theirs at the window. They did apologize when they finally brought our food. And the food was good, ngl. We spilt an order of the new thin chicken bites. And I had the spicy pickle chicken sandwich. It was good but I couldn’t eat but a couple of bites. I didn’t order a drink because I had a full one when we headed there. I ended up drinking all of it sitting in the hot sun. The rest of the sandwich wasn’t good reheated. My mom got a chicken wrap special & she said it was good. I know this review is long but I want people to know unless you can wait nearly an hr from the time you place your order till it’s ready, don’t ever order online. At least at this location. Even though the food was good I will never go back to this particular Popeyes. I order online at different places pretty often & I have never had to wait that long, not even close.
