As I thought I’d grab a bite to eat while I was in the Wetumpka area, I came across Popeyes. And although the line was completely empty, I immediately felt disgust and straight negative energy from whoever’s voice I heard the moment I pulled up. He kept rushing me, had a very sassy tone, and was super unprofessional…
Come to find out, I believe this was the manager…
As a respected business owner who truly values Southern hospitality, you would think down south (especially compared to Birmingham, where I live) there would be more of that. However, there wasn’t any at all. I was completely disgusted… and for this to be the manager and for him to run the store like this is completely unacceptable.
I couldn’t do anything but pull over and share exactly how I felt. Period.
It’s not often that I leave terrible reviews, and you can refer back to my page. However, for ME to leave one, it must be pretty bad.
So yeah… just go to Zaxby’s next door if you’ve got the urge for some chicken. You don’t want to deal with these sassy, confused, negative-energy employees that are working here and projecting it onto customers.

This trip to Popeyes isn’t the best one. I understand completely. My rating was chosen only because there are only 4 people working in this location. The newer generations work ethic is lacking something serious. But other than us being there for 35 minutes maybe more I have no complaints. I guess you’d say that they’re doing the best they can with what they have to work with. Although certain things could have been done to prevent some of this with them knowing that they were short handed. Poor management in that area.

The food is ALWAYS good when we go to Popeyes but this particular time it was different. The chicken was good as usual, but someone put an overcooked, burnt biscuit in the box… I mean really…. that one should have been thrown out. . .poor judgment tonight, but hopefully it won’t happen again.

We were pleased their lobby was open around 8:30pm unlike the Wendy’s nearby. Service was good and they made most of our food fresh. Took a couple minutes but worth waiting. Clean interior and no mistakes. Good stuff

I arrived at 5:39 PM, but it’s now 6:05 PM, and I still haven’t received my food. When I went to the drive-thru to order, the girl on the speaker answered my call. I asked for the tackle shrimp box, but she informed me that they didn’t have cocktail sauce. I requested a sauce called garlic Parmesan, but she denied my request, stating that she couldn’t make it. I questioned why she couldn’t make it since they didn’t have cocktail sauce, but she refused to consider my suggestion. Instead, she offered me tartar sauce, which I declined because I don’t eat fish. Her attitude and disposition were extremely unpleasant. This will be my last stop at this establishment. I genuinely dislike dealing with customers who have such poor customer service. As a manager for food and beverage, I expect better from my employees. If you’re not happy with the service, please stay home. You’re paid to smile and provide excellent customer service before you get hired. They ask all these questions, so hopefully, she’ll improve her customer service skills. I travel up here to visit my parents, and I don’t mind going hungry if I have to pass by this place. I’m even more disappointed that Captain D’s was packed. When I asked for her manager, she claimed to be the manager herself. I requested information about the general manager and her name, but she said she was busy talking to a customer. I believe her name was Ashley.

Popeyes seriously gave us three of the small tenders in American history and charged us $11 bucks for this crap! Popeyes should be ashamed. Will be skipping this crap and go to Zaxbys from now on. And in the photo provided this was the bigger of the three tenders!!!!!!!!!! Still had to cook something at the house because this is the crap you get for $ 11 bucks. Ridiculous

I went in for a dine in date experience and was let down horribly. The manager is assuming due to her dress apparel was very rude I ordered a pickle glazed chicken sandwich and was given a bacon and Swiss chicken sandwich. When I went up to the counter to inquire about it I was told that is how it comes I have had this sandwich multiple times and never had it had bacon and cheese. I didn’t want to argue so I was going to eat it anyway and when I bite into it the sandwich was not hot it was like warm at the best. Probably won’t be back.
