The staff was very friendly and immediately greeted me when I walked into the restaurant. They had very good communication between their team and got my order together fast and it was all fresh. I was recommended the blackened ranch with the fried pickles and I’d say a solid 10/10 pairing.

Deserves ZERO stars!!! This location is the ABSOLUTE Worst in the area. Came here almost a year ago and said NEVER again but was on my way home from work stuck in horrible traffic & didn’t feel like going to sun city which is by far a way better location with great service, so I decided to give them another try. Maybe the first time was an off day. Ummm yea NO! I Pulled up to drivethru & was told after 5 minutes of just sitting there to come inside because it was shift change so drivethru was closed. Here’s Strike #1. I should’ve known to pull off then! Went inside and waited for the male cashier to finish flirting with the prior customer and take my order. It was at least 5-6 employees inside so not sure why they were telling everyone drivethru was closed. No one appeared to be changing shifts. Waited forever (20+ minutes) for a 3 piece tender comb because the same guy was super distracted, moving super slow and flirting with every female customer who came in. That was strike #2! Finally got my order, Checked my bag really quick before leaving to make sure my ordered items were correct & left. Here’s the 3rd strike & they’re OUT!!! Pulled off & started to eat & low & behold, my tenders were cold, rock hard & dry! It’s as if they were cooked this morning & sat out all day. I was starving & PISSED! Proceeded to eat my coleslaw and it taste like dry, old lettuce. SO DISGUSTING! If the traffic wasn’t such a nightmare in the bigbend area, I would’ve gone back and requested a refund of my $19. There food cost too much to receive such slow, bad & unprofessional service and HORRIBLE food! Looking at all of these bad reviews, how are they still open? This location should be reported & evaluated. Ill never patronize this location again. Like NEVER!!!

Revised review, went through drive up window, and had a code for 10 PC chicken meal. Chicken was like beef jerky, macaroni, and cheese had a 1/4 of an inch of grease on top. Coleslaw was only half full.I thought the price quoted seemed high. Had to pull forward to wait for my chicken. Then, I asked for my receipt to see if they honored the discount. Sat for 5 minutes, no receipt. Ok, tried again. Why do I do this to myself. Once again, half filled containers. I could have paid for a small mac and cheese and would have received more than what was in a large order.This is in Ellenton, Fl.

Waited in drive thru for about 10 minutes with no response and cars lining up behind me. Decided to park and go inside to order, only then was I told there not doing the drive thru right now because it’s too busy. The wait inside was a while because of people waiting on mobile orders, I only went for the surf and turf box (the big shrimp and tenders) and when I got home I saw that I was given popcorn shrimp! I was so disappointed and wouldn’t of spent my money on the popcorn shrimp if I would of known they didn’t give me the larger shrimp. The gravy is one of favorites but was so watered down it had zero taste and color.

-Edit- do not let the owners copy paste responses to the bad reviews fool you. Sort these reviews by newest and notice the trend. It is very clear the owners do not care about anything except getting your money. The manager and staff here are not friendly and rude. If you can give lower than one star I would. Unbelievably slow service. 45 minute wait for a 16 piece tender meal. They then proceeded to forget my mashed potatoes. Upon pointing this out to the manager he tried to give me a smaller mashed potato and act like I was lying and stealing from them. Upon offering to show receipt he got rude and aggressive. Upon pointing out that I waited 45 minutes and they lack any communication of any kind he got even more rude and aggressive. Proceeded to complain about how he’s understaffed. That’s your problem not mine. Manager seems to forget that this is a business. I do not care about your problems. You offer a service, very poorly at that.

I waited an hour, no exaggeration, for my order I placed online. First they said I had to come in I told them on my app it says to come through the drive through so they told me to park in a spot and they’d bring it out I watched many people come and go and I was still waiting so after 50 minutes I went through the drive thru again to remind them I’m still waiting and about 10 minutes later we FINALLY got our food, never went back.

This is the first Popeyes I have been to and had soft buttery biscuits!!! The kid’s devoured the biscuits usually, we just toss the biscuits but whoever was in charge of the biscuits deserves a promotion!!! Food was hot and tasty and the kids were happy!!! Thank you for the awesome service!!!!

I’ve lived here 3 years, been to this drive thru 4 times. This is the second time I’ve had to wait for 20 minutes after ordering (no one else in drive thru).
I finally came inside to wait the remaining few minutes (was told the tenders take 4 minutes to fry). 12-piece chicken tender family meal plus a large gravy side.
Before leaving the parking lot I checked the bag and they didn’t include the large gravy side. I returned inside.
I was given a container of gravy that was sitting under the heat lamp which I discovered to be only half filled when I got home. I paid $6.70 for about 1/2 cup of gravy!!
I was pleasant throughout my order and wait and never complained once.
The “freshly” fried tenders were tough and chewy.
10 minute drive each way, 25 minutes waiting for a $50 meal.
I COULD HAVE FRIED MY OWN CHICKEN AT HOME IN THE SAME TIME.
I will not be back.
Added- This WAS my second time returning to give you another chance, as my review stated. If you truly want a customer back, you would offer to remake the meal or refund their purchase. But no, I’m not coming back. Twice burned, nine months apart. Nothing will change at this Popeyes.

My last experience at this location was not good as I had waited inside for an hour for my food-They forgot about me a couple times.
I went again today to give it another chance. I do not know the woman’s name who served me but this review is for her. She was so kind to me and my son, and that kindness was something I really needed. I ordered thru the app and got my food on time. I ate inside which wasn’t at a busy time. So I have no complaints.

Beep; Boop Beep!
Beep; Boop Beep!’s old lady had the hanker’n for a proper chicken sandwich to fight off the demons of her first Covid vaccine shot and I figured if anything could answer the bell it’s Popeye’s. As much as I’d like to dock this review by 2 stars for them closing the dinning room before 7p and forcing me to wait in a line of 8 cars, the only thing worse then the wait is facing the boss lady chicken sandwich’less; so I persevered. Lucky for me, they weren’t sold out of these bad boys. I’m not exactly sure they cure Covid, but they make life worth living.
