Trash! Completely overpriced, and it’s like they’re getting the food out of the dumpster. In the cup of red beans and rice I promise on everything I love I had no more than two tablespoons in each cup of dried out rice and beans. There was so much room left in the cup it looked like somebody had thrown a pee inside of a barrel. The chicken was disgusting Health Inspectors need to go to this location and just shut it down, and the Popeye’s franchise should pull their flag from this location

Ordered a ghost pepper chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese. Open it up *Surprise!!* No bacon or cheese and hardly any sauce. Even had a sticker on it that says bacon and cheese. There is a reason Chic fil A is #1.

Me and my friend wanted to try this location for the first time, we tried the Freddy Fazbear box. The food was really dissapointing. There was almost no seasoning on the chicken, the cheese bites were all mashed up and disgusting, and don’t get me started on the cupcake. To be fair, I don’t think the cupcake is anyone’s fault, its just not good lol… Most people working there didn’t seem rude or anything, perhaps a little dismissive. We didn’t get a reciept, although the person at the speaker was really rude. They seemed annoyed to take our order and every question was answered with “no, what else”… now look I’ve worked in fast food so I get it but at a certain point when i feel like I’m doing something wrong by wanting to eat somewhere you can’t really excuse that. I can’t speak on the atmosphere because I went through the drive thru, but overall i wouldn’t say this is somewhere you should NEVER go back to, I just won’t be back.

To the lazy ladies working today Dec 26th 2024. Thank you for the old chicken you given me in my 12 piece non-customizable order. You can tell pieces of chicken have been sitting for a while. Hard and tough and dry. Good job. I’m surprised they even hired people with your work ethic. I’ll be back soon and will let you when when I come back.
Edited: Wow. I’ve just read all the reviews lol I received small pieces of chicken thighs too like how people are saying in their review. They are cutting the chicken before frying and then eating the peices they cut off. I got to the Popeyes in Athens all the time and never an issue. I feel sorry for this place and it’s owners because the people who work here won’t go far in life. They won’t make your business successful. Keep going and soon you’ll be closed down like the other restaurants down the road from you.

Had to give a star just to post this. First time I went to this location I waited 5 min at the drive thru, nobody would respond. 6 months later, thought I would give this location another try. Again, waited over 5 min, even tried to get their attention, still no response. Sadly I will never give this business any more of my business. How is this company still in business???

Whoever was working the drive thru at 9:00 PM on 11/22/25 needs a serious attitude adjustment. She was completely rude and yelled the questions at me, and let out loud exhales every time I answered. She was so rude that I eventually told her never mind and left. I now see why there are never any cars in the drive thru.

To-go order: When I entered the establishment there were many finger prints on the door and window. No time to clean? When I approached the counter, no one came to greet me for about 1 minute which is odd at a fast food establishment. The cashier, when she came out said she was “trying to take a nap…ha ha.” I ordered the chicken fingers which they “made to order”. I also ordered the mashed potatoes and the mac n cheese, two biscuits. The chicken fingers were absolutely horrible. They were rubbery and the breading fell off. I could not eat any more. The mashed potatoes were typical of the kind you get at fast food restaurants: Lukewarm and grainy. The mac and cheese also bland. The biscuits were tasty I’ve liked Popeyes before… but not here at all. We put everything in the slop bucket for our pigs

I ordered 4 thighs, 4 breasts and when I got home there was 2 thighs,2 breasts,2 wings and 2 drumsticks. Their phone stays busy so I can’t call to ask why. This location is in Hartwell Georgia. Would not recommend doing business there.

Foods always been good. But the people have been outright rude and dismissive. They blame you if they mess up the food and they get agitated with you for ordering 2 hours before closing. As someone who works in the food industry, their attitude towards customers is out right unacceptable. I hope they jave a better turn around soon
