I am totally disappointed in this Popeyes at the airport in Atlanta (across from Gate B14). I think they are trying to save money by putting up this sign which states “NO REFILLS DUE TO COVID PRECAUTIONS.” However, no one is wearing a mask behind the counter. Also, it’s 2026. COVID precautions?

They’re spicy. Chicken is wonderful, as long as you get it fresh. Like most other fast food restaurants, if it’s been sitting under a heat lamp for a while, it’s not going to be the best or at its peak. They offer a large selection of sides from mashed potatoes, fries, sweet corn coleslaw, and the usual sides. The best advice I can give you is to go just before a rush period or just after a rush period that way, the likelihood of getting freshly cooked food, is at its best. The 3 of 4 Popeye restaurants that I’ve been to have been generally very clean and well maintained. If you’re lucky enough to get the chicken right out of the cooker, it’s easily a 5 star.

Writing a 1-star review for the Popeyes in the Atlanta airport is basically a rite of passage for travelers. It’s the same story every time: you’re starving, you see the sign, and then you realize you’ve entered a zone where customer service went to die.
The staff usually treats a simple request for a spicy chicken sandwich like you’re asking them for a kidney. You’ll see ten people behind the counter, but only one is actually moving, and they’re doing that slow, heavy-footed shuffle that tells you they couldn’t care less if you miss your flight. If you try to ask how much longer it’ll be, you get that long, silent stare or a sharp “we workin’ on it” before they go back to their conversation.

The ladies working this morning were efficient, helpful and very kind. I watched one employee hurriedly prepare a customers order as she was running to a flight and we were greeted with smiles and helpful service. The best service I’ve had at an airport.

The food was okay. A girl who said her name was China- tall black girl, long braids, dark rim glasses was extremely rude and perfectly unhelpful! Saturday evening March 7, 2026. The management needs to do a much better job at hiring and training at this location. It’s a black eye for Popeyes.

The only reason I am giving a 4-star is because there’s no place to sit down and eat. But the customer service for myself was dope… Thumbs up. I don’t remember the lady’s name who fixed my plate, but she was nice. The cashier Jamal was okay as well. All around, dope service for me. The food was what I expected.

I will start by saying that the food was hot and fresh when I got it however I was the first order of the day. Opening time is 6am. It was 6:08am and i approached the kiosk (which was on) to browse menu and be ready when an employee barked at me stating, we are not open yet. I looked at my watch to ensure the time. She said, I know the signs says 6am. There was no reason for her rude behavior due to employees not being ready to do their job. Everyone that I could hear was rude and acted as if the customers were inconveniencing them. It was literally the start of the day!!! I even had to ask for my drink which was on the receipt, again feeling like I was causing a problem to them. I recommend finding employees who want to work and can give your establishment a better reputation.

This is worst customer service I have ever encountered. They only take orders through their kiosk which does not match the menu and they are not helpful at all. I asked for a refund/change order before I was handed my food and they refused for help me. I paid $25 for nasty chicken and no sauce.
