I am forced to give at least one star. I wasted my money. I tried contacting the store today and as always, no one answers the phone. There’s not even a voicemail prompt to leave a message. I can’t keep giving my hard earned money to an establishment, they just don’t care
How safe can a restaurant be when it lacks basic sanitation? This location had no soap, no hot water, and no paper towels for handwashing. This isn’t just a customer service issue; it’s a significant public safety risk for both patrons and the employees handling food.
The cleanliness of the dining area was equally alarming:
Slippery Floors: The entire floor was slick with grease or residue, creating a serious fall hazard.
Dirty Seating: Not a single booth was clean. I actually had to go to my car for disinfectant wipes and napkins just to sanitize our table and seats before sitting down.
Corporate responses are often dismissive, but these photos (attached) speak for themselves. If you value your health and want to avoid foodborne illness, I strongly recommend eating elsewhere.
**Update **I swore that I would not come here again but I did only because my son didn’t want to drive to Peachtree City at the better location after a 3 hour practice. The service on July 14, 2025 SUCKED YET AGAIN! Slow cashiers, taking their sweet time with only 3 of us waiting in the dining room with pans of chicken precooked while they hold personal conversations literally while holding an empty bag in her hand as she is talking to the others. Then when I asked her for a separate bag for one order, she only looked at me as if she wanted to say something smart so I stared at her waiting so I can pop off. She didn’t acknowledge the request as if she heard me but she placed the order in the bag..she was chubby with slides on and my order was placed at 7:26 pm..the receipt says Janiyah but at least two people handled my order, one was slender and the nasty attitude one was heavy set. My total was $40.94 and while checking my bag before leaving, one of my mashed potatoes was missing so I had to ask the slender one for it because I was 2 seconds away from crashing out on the chubby one if she gave me attitude. No manager was present and it seems as if they just do whatever they want. The one in Peachtree City is far better and I will continue to go there even though it’s out of my way but I will do do so to avoid the Fayetteville location. I see why their rating in a 3.0 out of 5. Surprised it isn’t lower.
When I got home and checked my food, I realized I received all dark meat. I called Popeyes and told them I was upset because I didn’t order all dark meat. She apologized and asked when I could come back so they could fix it. I said tomorrow.
I hung up the phone and tried to enjoy the meal, but the chicken was old and the fries were soggy, so I got back in the car to get my food corrected. When I arrived at the restaurant, I explained why I was there and was told it would be a while for white meat. That wasn’t a problem, since that’s what I requested in the first place.
I checked my order and received one breast and four wings. That makes no sense. Where are my two breasts? It honestly felt like I was being played, especially since I didn’t eat the original dark-meat order. I am very disappointed with this experience, and I won’t be eating here anymore I can go elsewhere.
Nevermind the system that they put your order into, they give you what they want you to have instead of what you paid for. They are always out of condiments and absolutely never will have honey for your biscuits so don’t bother asking. The idea of this being fast food is far beyond reach. Expect to wait 30mins minimum in the drive thru.
To Whom It May Concern,
I am a single mother and disabled veteran. I am writing to bring to your attention a very upsetting experience I had at one of your locations — Popeyes at 242 Banks Crossing, Fayetteville, GA 30214 — on November 3rd, between approximately 11:45 AM and 12:15 PM.
I visited this Popeyes with my autistic son, who was simply looking forward to his chicken tenders. I placed an order totaling around $6 and some change, and I paid with a $100 bill. The cashier gave me back $83 and change, which didn’t seem correct. Upon reviewing my receipt, I noticed that I had been charged for an order totaling $16 and some change instead of the correct amount.
When I calmly brought this to the cashier’s attention, she appeared irritated and went to get the manager. She then handed me $6, insisting that was the correct change. When I respectfully told her that it was not, she began yelling, saying “Bruh, yes it is right,” and continued shouting as she stormed away from the window, behaving aggressively as though she might come outside to confront me. She continued yelling in the back of the restaurant, creating a very hostile and unprofessional environment.
My autistic son became frightened and started crying, which broke my heart. I did my best to stay calm, despite the stress of the situation and my own mental health challenges as a veteran. The manager eventually came out, verified the mistake, and gave me the correct change, but he refused to provide me with the employee’s name or his own. He only stated that he would “handle it.”
This experience left me shaken and distressed. I had to remain parked for about 15 minutes afterward to practice coping techniques before I could safely drive home. As a paying customer, I did nothing to deserve being treated in such a disrespectful and aggressive manner, especially in front of my child.
I’m requesting that this matter be fully investigated, and that appropriate training or disciplinary action be taken to ensure no other customer — especially one with a child or disability — has to experience something similar. I would also appreciate a follow-up to confirm how this issue will be addressed.
Thank you for your time and attention.
