Popeyes is that absolute worst restaurant chain that I have ever visited, and this one is particularly awful. This particular restaurant specializes in taking your money for orders that they are unable to fulfill, and then offering no assistance with obtaining a refund. We ordered a Cajun Turkey for Thanksgiving weeks in advance. They charged our card, sent us an email confirmation that our turkey would be ready for pick up the Monday before Thanksgiving. When my wife went to pick it up on that scheduled day, she was told that they were out of turkeys and wouldn’t be getting anymore in. They claimed they didn’t get enough turkeys delivered to meet their reservation numbers. Mind you, no one called us to warn us ahead of time. No cancelation email. They just left us scrambling to figure out a new plan just days before the holiday. And they took nearly 2 weeks to issue any type of refund. Fast forward about 2 weeks. My 10 year old really wants the 5 Nights at Freddy’s meal box they have been advertising. I REALLY didn’t want to go back to Popeyes, but I was having lunch with him at his elementary school. So after checking the website to see if they still had it, I agreed to pick it up for him and bring it for lunch the next day. Again, Popeyes gladly took my money for this order. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick it up through the drive through, I was told they no longer had that meal. When I asked the drive thru staff why it was still advertised on the web site, their eloquent response was “That’s not our problem, we got nothing to do with that!” As ridiculous as that statement is, they stood by it. They also told me that there was not a substitution for that meal and that since it was ordered online, they couldn’t refund my money!!! Popeyes entire system is one big scam! It is IMPOSSIBLE to contact any of their office above the franchise level and get an actual person, just AI that offers you very little help. Finally, after having to dispute the charge with my credit card company, it was refunded almost 1 week later. There also never seems to be a manager around. I did leave my number with the shift manager and asked that the store manager contact me, but that never happened. The cleanliness of this store leaves much to be desired. Check out the photo a former employee of this particular Popeyes location shared from his time working there I would avoid this place like the plaque! Because, if you don’t, you might actually catch the plague. And they will try and steal your money in the process!

Nice friendly slow service. We only had to wait 15-20 minutes for our food. I took advantage of the BOGO chicken wings. It was nice to see the small chicken wings, not like other places that have big juicy ones. The wings and pretty much the size of their dipping sauce container. The place was clean and would visit again if in the area.

The order from today, 01/13/2026, was placed on the app and apparently the restaurant was out of fries. Why wasnt I contaced? Do they not have access to my email and/or phone number since I ordered thru the app?! I get there and at the Drive Thru the cashier said, “Sooo umm… like we are all out of fries…..” – HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF FRIES?!?! I didnt even want the whole order! I have been to this location, Clemson, quite a few times. Each time I go, the attitude of the workers leaves a lot to be desired. They all have acted like they hate their job. If they hate their job THAT bad, go somewhere else. Dont catch attitudes with customers who expect you to do your job! Also, Ive had mixed up orders and then this incident. This is the most awful Popeyes. I am not a “Karen” and I believe in giving grace, but this is getting ridiculous. Thank you for my refund for the order placed today. Thank you, Popeyes, for having wonderful chicken and fries, but NO THANK YOU to the Clemson location.

No hairnets, beard nets or gloves. Employees weren’t in uniform either. (Night shift) the red head girl has a nasty attitude for no reason.
Food is alright but the staff is horrendous and obviously the managers aren’t doing their job, they need to enforce the gloves, uniform and nets better.
Overall, staff is 0* (if it were an option) atmosphere sucks too.

Got lunch for only to realize the chicken was raw. Asked for my money back and was told I had to wait until 4pm when the GM got there which I could not because I had to be at work. It should’nt have been that hard to process a refund for raw food.

I door dash for a living and this is hands down the worst customer service out of every restaurant I go to on a 12 hour shift. They don’t even say hey when you walk inside. You may sit there for 5-10 minutes before they even acknowledge your there and then more than likely they haven’t even started your order yet and this is EVERY time I go there. I have started rejecting all door dash orders from here.

The man helping work the drive thru was super rude. They gave out an order incorrectly and messed up the drive thru line. He was yelling at the poor woman in front of us and then when he pulled up, he was still incredibly rude and dismissive.
