I haven’t visited this location in about 2 yrs, but decided to visit and I was very impressed with the service, atmosphere and food quality. It took awhile to place an order, but an employee (didn’t see a name tag otherwise I would gladly recognize her), but she came from the back and took my order professionally and with much courtesy.
I can tell this location has better management than years prior and I give kudos to a very motivated team of associates & management.

Today is November 30 2025 around 1230pm was at popeyes on killian Rd in Columbia sc, I request 8pc dark meat spicy chicken only. Young lady at the window stated, I am not allowed to have the 8pc dark meat. Then i came inside and showed her popeyes website it showed you can order 8pcs dark spicy she saw it and still told me no. The young lady that was at the window was also the inside cashier stated the same thing I can not give you 8pcs of dark meat unless you order online the way I was showing her. I states Miss im inside this resturant now I am ordering 4thighs 4wings? She stated I can not order it that way, I then stated can I speak to the manager, the guy was first off tell the girl to lock the doors to keep the customers out of the building only drive thru, yet not a sign on sight that stated drive thru only. Then when he came to me he stated it is company policy to not give all dark meat to customers. I informed him that I have been to this location several times and never received this information this is a business all based on customer service and he could not order my request?. The manager stated if he gave every customer dark meat chicken only then they would run out. I asked him to ring up 8pcs of dark meat spicy chicken tell me the price it was the same as online. The manager was getting irrational and irritated with me just wanting to order 8pcs of chicken dark meat not a meal. I am not sure why he or the young lady did not understand I was not getting anywhere to just order the 8pcs I just left hungry and infrustration with the atmosphere and hardly no workers everybody sad the manager was not nice to the employees because he did not work he left the young lady to handle everything. Customer service has to get better here or they are going to loose business.

Went through Drive threw was asked to pull up 15 minutes later still no food. Went in fot a refund not even an apology. 5 people with large orders came and went. Parking lot always empty guess should have put 2 and 2 together

After the disappointment I experienced at the Popeyes on Two Notch, I decided to give Killian’s Popeyes a try, hoping for a better experience. I was pleasantly surprised to find an abundance of freshly cooked fried chicken eagerly waiting to be served to customers. Remarkably, I only waited about 10 minutes as the employees efficiently handled my order with impressive speed. To top it off, the fried chicken here tastes notably fresher than at the Popeyes on Two Notch. I’m definitely making Killian’s my go-to spot from now on!

Walked in at 635pm waiting at the counter 15 min before the girl even acknowledged me ( there were 4 people waiting ) she took my order my receipt says 6:54. I stood there waited stood around as the 5 people who were working one drive thru one frying chicken on girl standing walking back and forth one guy making sandwiches and walking around that it. So she was slowly slowly putting orders together like one every ten min . No one helped her . Then she disappeared went to the sandwich making area was gone ten min came bk up front tossed the sandwiches on the counter and then turned took another order . After 35 min I said excuse me I’ve waited 35 min how much longer the drive thru girl and the one with glasses I believe was a lead and the guy frying chicken looked at me and the. Softly asked the counter girl how long on my order her reply was when I get to it ! Drive thru girl said she ordered so much food only ordered a family meal . And she can’t see there are others waiting to. Then one guy spoke up I’ve been waiting 40 min on 4 sandwiches . I cant give names cause they all had jackets on . I spent 80.00 and my food was tossed into the boxes and everything put in one bag yes got home my beans and rice co trainers were smashed and when I asked for my receipt cause she took it to make the food she rolled her eyes and smacked her lips . It’s the store 468 Killian road 29203 . At 6:54 pm . Horrible horrible customer service additudes .

No matter how many opportunities they get to get it right. They never put the actual seasoning on the chicken wings. They will put maybe a sprinkle on one or two wings to make it appear like they did. Not sure why it’s so hard to do when nobody is in the line and the store is empty.
Update: still the same issue not sure why it’s so hard to actually put the sauce or seasoning on there. Maybe not joke around while only a few people are working when you have a line. You’re better off going to two notch location.

This place seems stuck in the COVID era. No one was dining inside but me and no condiments or utensils out. Had to ask for a fork for my beans and jelly for my biscuit. For a very pricey $15 I got two small lukewarm wings and a cold dried up thigh, beans. I quickly remembered why I quit eating at this Popeye’s in the past. Normally I love popeyes chicken but this place might as well close for all the damage they are doing to this once fine reputation of this restaurant. The employees seemed bothered by customers being there and were lost. No customer courtesy or awareness. If you like Popeyes, skip this location

I don’t know what’s going on in that kitchen on Killian Road in Columbia , SC today, December 23, 2025, but the biscuits are fluffy and buttery, and the chicken is moist and seasoned to perfection. I took a couple of bites, after I got home, and had no one to slap but myself. Make sure you go by there while you’re out!

I ordered the 5 nights at Freddy meal. When I arrived I asked if they had the promotion and was told yes. So I ordered 2 of them. Not only did the not provide ANY of the merchandise but also (even after saying they did have it.) I was given no merchandise and also did not receive both deserts (they gave me 1 cheesecake) but also did not have the cheese curds. I was extremely disappointed because I asked prior to placing my order. Also I was purchasing for my children.

Sold my family some spoiled chicken. It was not stale, it was spoiled. It was so spoiled, it smelled/tasted with an ammonia odor/taste, and meat visibly didn’t look like right either. I threw the chicken out. The sides were not fresh either. Damn! I don’t “love that chicken.”
