I have never been to a bad Popeyes, this Popeyes is so bad we genuinely drive further just to avoid going to this one. It’s like they make sure to dunk your food in a bucket of water before serving it, I have no idea why it’s always so soggy from the fries to the tenders and sandwiches. They are SO stingy with the ranch. The nail in the coffin to writing this bad review (something I have never done before) is that they entirely on another level messed up my DoorDash order. Simple order. 1 large fry, 2 spicy chicken sandwiches with cheese no pickle, and a 5 ct tender. Order was entirely missing the tenders, had no cheese on either sandwich, AND of COURSE we found a hair in our sandwich. Missing items happen on delivery, but this is beyond absurd. Avoid this Popeyes like the plague.

I am not joking when I say I got a free redelivery from DoorDash, and they messed up my order AGAIN. The chicken sandwiches were STILL missing cheese- the biscuit was like a hockey puck and the tenders were somehow cold while the sandwiches were hot. I am genuinely BAFFLED. So now we have four no cheese soggy sandwiches

I had one of the worst fast-food experiences I’ve ever had at Popeyes. I placed a mobile order by mistake at the Dale City location instead of Smoketown. When I realized the error, I tried calling Dale City multiple times—no one answered. I went into Smoketown to explain the situation, hoping for some help.
When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told, “I’m on break.” As an assistant principal, I cannot imagine telling a parent or student that I won’t help them because I want a break. That level of customer service is unacceptable.
The cashier’s response was dismissive, essentially telling me to “just drive there.” The only person who showed any compassion was Andreas, the youngest employee in the store, who kindly explained what I could do to try to fix the issue. Unfortunately, even after following his advice, the online customer service link informed me I couldn’t get a refund.
To make matters worse, I purchased food at Smoketown anyway—a deal for two people with chicken wings and tenders. When I got home, I discovered my order was wrong: only chicken tenders, no wings. So not only did I lose money on the original mobile order, but I also paid $30 for food that wasn’t even correct.
This chain failed me at every level: poor communication, unprofessional management, dismissive staff, and incorrect food. I will never eat at Popeyes again.

I am writing to report a deeply disappointing and unprofessional experience at your 13860 Smoketown Rd., Woodbridge, VA. Popeyes. After leaving work, I stopped in to place an order. Despite several employees being present — approximately four or five — not a single staff member acknowledged me as I stood at the counter waiting to order. Instead, they continued cleaning and conversing while ignoring customers.
It is unacceptable for employees to disregard guests in this manner. If staff members are unwilling or unable to engage with customers, or if language barriers prevent effective service, this reflects poorly on the entire establishment. Even when the manager appeared, no corrective action was taken, which only added to the frustration.
As a business owner and regional manager myself, I understand the importance of customer service and employee accountability. This visit made it clear that these standards are not being upheld at this location. I will not be returning, and I will be sure to share my experience with others.
I hope this issue is addressed so future customers do not have to encounter similar treatment.

My experience eating at this location was not not great, but it was not terrible either. The restaurant was a little dirty; trash on the floor, soda spilled on the counter, stains on the walls. The employee that took my order wasn’t very polite. I guess he was distracted, because I told him my order was for dine-in, but I received it in a to-go bag. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich combo with fries. It was $10.66. Even though I ate in the restaurant, my sandwich and fries were only slightly warm. However, the food was good. Maybe I just caught them at a bad time, but from this experience, I would not eat here again.

I ordered 4 strawberry and cream pies and got 2, last time I got 2 and one of them were apple.
They never get the order right and I lose so much money because of that, no more Popeyes from this location.
