Food/Service/Atmosphere They are all great.
The Cons-
Its is unfortunate they moved the Popeyes to this location. Across the street in front of Springfield Plaza. I am guessing The Rent was just too high and Popeyes want their own building.
They currently only have 2 Registers instead of 3 from the Pervious building. So ordering is a bit slower. Use the popeyes app to order faster.
They do not have a Drive thru even though they have the road for it currently.
Other than that Food/Service/Atmosphere are all excellent for me.

I asked for an order. They didn’t even put it in full, the spicy one I asked for arrived plain, the chicken was raw, really the last time I will eat this chicken, really what a disappointment, it’s not even because of the money lost, it’s because of the quality of the things, I know they want to sell but they should take a good look! I rarely write reviews but I almost an hour after my visit I’m still thinking about my interaction here. I went here on a Thursday around 9 pm and there was a girl taking orders and a lady who I assume was the manager standing at the register. As I walk up to place my order the manager is reprimanding the employee right in front of me and is being SO rude to her. I felt so bad for this girl. She seemed so sweet and as a manager your job is to support your stuff. The girl walked away and instead of manager just taking my order and handling the situation later she instead loudly says “WHERE ARE YOU GOING THERES CUSTOMERS” and the proceeds to go find her. That manager is SO lucky that wasn’t me cause I would’ve cussed her out and then quit on the spot. A little kindness really goes a long way. I don’t understand why people have to be rude and nasty. 1 star for the nasty manager. Food was good and 5 stars for the girl working cause she still came back and took my order even after a customer was rude to her about a biscuit.

Paid $32 and the servings are not good. My husband got a shrimp and 2 piece tender meal and he did not receive his 2 tenders. I got a 3 piece blackened tender combo and the tenders are so small! Will not be returning. The only positive was that it was clean when we went ~7:20PM.

Springfield proper in the heart of Central Springfield had a great Popeyes in the shopping center. Then it built an impressive looking stand-alone building and moved out of the shopping center.
The people who run the new Popeyes are cheating the customer and the company. They are saving money on the special seasoned flower that they are contracted to buy from Popeyes supply houses by failing to properly use enough of flower to bread the chicken. A plate costing above $20 consisted of dry rubbery chicken tenders which I observed the manager scrape out from the very bottom of the drawer. This experience took place at noon on a weekday–not late at night when the restaurant would presumably be getting ready to close. The plate included several dried up french fries which the manager scooped up along with the chicken. I did not order french fries but five or six entirely burned up french fries were haphazardly scooped up into this plate of dry, rubbery, inadequately breaded chicken. The entire plate was dry, rubbery, and missing the requisite breading needed for anything approaching acceptable chicken tenders! Whatever you do, don’t go to the Popeyes at 700 Bland Street (across from the parking lot of Springfield Plaza in the heart of Central Springfield).
Additionally, this sandpapered personality should never be in a position of serving the public, much less managing a restaurant. She clearly set the tone for the pitiful chicken and her personality clearly conveyed to the customer the fact that she did not want to be there.
Instead, go to the Popeyes at 9581 Braddock Road. The Popeyes at 9581 Braddock Road is perfect, the exact opposite of the Popeyes in Central Springfield, and worth drying the extra visit to experience. The managers are all friendly and never cheat on the flower or the temperature of the food. The chicken is always meaty and juicy and never left sitting too long; never dried out.

Oh h3££ no! I went to this popeyes one time I never forgot it for a good reason I couldn’t remember the name of the st or address but by memory I remembered how to get there and where it was(despite only going out here once) so I traveled from DC out here back in 2025 Halloween I was hunting down all the nearest Spirt Halloweens for some items this was the last one I wejtbto due to it being far away I had to plan a whole day trip basically lol got hungry stopped at Whole foods for drinks to try it out since that particular one was very new and then stoppee at popeyes let me tell you….this place was so clean compared to DC area in ones the staff were very tentative as soon as I walked in I usually already know what I want so I didnt need to wait that time lady was very professional and polite got my order fast it look like what was also the manager (hax diff uniform on but still had popeyes logo so im assuming it was manager) I never really see them helping out with staff unless something happened or there just checking around this manager was full hands on everybody running around busy very nice to see help from all sides food came fresh for some reason the chicken tasted more fresh and prepared better out here I always assume DC has the worst version of what a MD or VA restaurant chain has but jeeezz I hate when I’m right unexpectedly! I even had to sit down and eat it I was on the go and just wanted to hurry back into the city from shopping all day that popeyes made me park it I definitely never forgot it and had even thought about coming back once it warms back up I got pissed as I was looking up the address so I can properly get back out there and then I noticed ALL THESE BUTTHURT reviews! 85% sound like they were expecting a 6 star restaurant experience or something and the others were already waking up like that they just went to Popeyes to annoy folks I’m very sorry y’all had to get those reviews but let me be the one to let others know for 2026 and so forth this is some finger licking good Popeyes and I don’t say that often keep up the great work and foodies please!
