I love Popeyes chicken sandwiches and get them about once a week, but this location is just horrible! They are so slow, almost like they’re intentionally being slow. I almost always have to wait for my order, even though it’s always mobile orders placed ahead of time. And the woman who makes their mobile orders is incompetent, not to mention rude. She ignores me as I try to get her attention to pick up my order, and she regularly gets my orders wrong, sometimes leaving out an order of fries, other times leaving out a sandwich. And she never apologizes for her mistakes—just acts like she’s annoyed that I had the audacity to ask for my missing food.

If I could, I would give this Popeye’s ZERO stars. This place is the absolute worst! The food is not good. Chicken is always dry, and every time I ask for spicy, instead of doing the right thing and letting the customer know, they just give you mild and don’t say anything.
They often also don’t have the items that are on their menu. All of fall and winter they had frozen lemonades and they NEVER had it in stock. WHY IS IT ON YOUR MENU IF ITS NEVER IN STOCK?
Service wise, also not good. First of all, most of the people there don’t speak English. I’ll arrive to pickup my order and say “excuse me, I’m picking up a mobile order” and they reply is Spanish! If I start a conversation in English, they need to respond in English. If I had approached and spoke in Spanish, then responding in Spanish is fine, but don’t respond in Spanish when I initiated the conversation in English, it’s rude!
Also, these employees often ignore you while standing at the pick up area. One time I ordered ahead and went to the pick up area. No one spoke to me for almost 10 minutes. I had to yell to get their attention to get assistance.
Lastly, I use to be able to order on the app but they intentionally shut down their mobile ordering for who knows what reason. There are so many things wrong with those location, I’m surprised it has been shut down yet.
I’ve gone to other Popeye’s locations and they don’t have these issues. This is clearly a problem with this specific location, the staff and the management.

Popeyes in Columbia Mall is the best Popeyes to go to for your food. I have been to a lot of Popeyes but the one at Columbia Mall is the best.

Great food, friendly staff. BTW – Am I the only one that thinks Popeyes is the stingiest with condiments though, not just this location, in general, can we get another drop of ketchup and an extra pack of sauce without a special request? If I get three packets of ketchup for an order of fries, they all three go to waste, but hey if I get five packets, I use four and only waste one. Just saying, I’d rather have none or 5, three feels pitiful. Like I want to donate an extra 5 cents so they can afford to offer that extra pack without going out of business. Or maybe we should save them up and have like a special visit where you use all six packets, you know like on your birthday or something. Seriously though, when it’s hot, it’s good and it’s hot today! ✅✅✅

Food came out fresh and hot! The blackened chicken sandwich meal was tasty. The cashier was friendly and the workers there seemed to really have fun and work together well. It was very clean behind the counter and you can actually watch them prepare your sandwich. I would come here again if I were in the mall shopping and wanted a quick lunch.

WARNING! CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE CARRY OUT. Not only did they not have the mango lemonade when I came for pick-up and still charged me 80 cents, no compensation [like even an extra biscuit or something], no refund, nothing. Okay, whatever, 80 cents for a menu item they didn’t have. They have the audacity as part of my surf and turf to only give me 2 pieces of tenders…that’s it, no butterfly shrimp or anything, like at least put 4 pieces of the small popcorn shrimp or something. To top it off, their online offer is for 5 pieces of chicken for the dine-in; they gave me 4. What is even going on at this location? I’ve never had an issue with Popeyes so this review is not about the chain in general, just this branch, horrible service.

The chicken was horrible. It smelled as if it had been cooked in old mop water. The Fries was cold, and my biscuit was crumbling. I’m so mad it was my lunch break, so I was unable to request a refund! First and last time eating at this location.

They just are slow and don’t care. Terrible location….like all Popeyes for that matter. Learn how to take pride in your job! I bet they feel they deserve $15/hour just to show up to work. Manager just stands around, doesn’t care to help at all.
