The food is standard but they don’t put out any napkins, straws or sporks. We have consistent issues with odd charging and issues. This time they charged us wrong and when they asked responded with claims that we ordered a 3 piece and then that we ordered an extra side. When we’d ordered the 4 piece platter with two sides and were charged for a combo with extra sides. They just didn’t look at us as we asked about it. It was an odd interaction. It was an obvious mistake and easy fix at another fast food place, its concerning if they are doing this consistently. Previously, they’ve given us less than the number of chicken pieces and have not wanted to make it right. Just said no when I asked for the correct amount. They also have refused to take coupons in an oddly confrontational way and then relented with an polite questioning and coworker intervention. We try to go to the Elden location and have none of these issues. I don’t know if we’ve just had bad luck but we try to avoid it even though it’s very close because the service is so odd.

The person taking my order was beyond rude. I am a pretty relaxed person but she definetly got a rise outta me. Rushing me to take my order. Would interrupt my every word. Me: can I get a #5 tender… Her(rudely): ok 5 piece tender, spicy or mild? Me: no i would like a #5 tender 3 piece with…Her: yea yea spicy or mild. The whole conversation was like this. It would have gone faster if she’d just let me finish my sentence instead of rudely and inaccurately assuming what i wanted. Then a car went by making noise and she was like your car is too loud. Seriously? Then when she kept interrupting me again, I had yell “Ma’am let me finish my damn order ! Her name on the receipt says Alvarez .***update: she also gave me the wrong order!

I haven’t eaten Popeyes in years. They used to sale chicken biscuits that I loved and being pregnant that was what I was craving. I went to this location and it was the worst experience ever. When I pull to the drive way I thought it was a long line only to realize there was only one car in front of me. The car in front of me sat at the intercom for 8 mins waiting to be asked for her order. Then she pulled up. When I pulled up there was a sign that said for you to read the menu and order at the window. The drive through did look close. The promotional menu was run down and not properly in the display. There was no light and the display case was cloudy to make it difficult to see the menu farthest from the car. Now at the window the car in front took another 7 mins to order and receive her food. When I got to the window the lady was talking so fast, and over me. My husband was on the phone and I was asking him what he wanted after the worker told me what we decided to order they ran out of. She had the nerve to tell me to hurry up. I asked her if she said the same thing to the car in front of me. I am usually polite and calm in situations like this, but at this point I was very annoyed and had to tell the worker about herself. She became pleasant after that and slowed down. I ordered a slushy and she brought me a regular juice. I reminded her of my order and she changed it. Between me ordering getting my food that took 6 mins. I was in the drive through for all of 21 mins with only one car in front of me. Overall I would drive the extra miles to go to Popeyes should I have another chicken tender and biscuit craving. I would never visit this location again and would highly recommend that you didn’t.

Drive thru looked like it was closed based off it’s condition. Pot holes, signs missing, signs broken. I was just picking up a mobile order and because the drive thru was in such rough shape they asked me to come to the window. Huge hole right by the window. Told them I was picking up a mobile order and had to repeat myself like 5 times to two people before they understood what I was trying to do. Ordered Mac and cheese and was given no utensils and the rest of the food was cold.

This franchise location is overwhelmingly expensive compared to the others for starters. Secondly they supposedly “run out of food.” I suspect that they are taking it home after their shift. The reason being is because they did that before to me. They said they had no more corn on the cobb but they had one, the lady got so mad at me. I had to tell her over and over to give me the corn. Also, as I’m eating it right now, after paying 50 bucks for a 12 piece, they forgot my biscuits!!!

As I had stated earlier in my initial review, my visiting Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen was inspired by my previous visits and the rain that was about to besiege Virginia. I was fortunate that I was on Drainsville road and turning in to Route 7, which had three turning lanes and one leading right to Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. So, I paid them a visit via the drive-thru, euchre is very convenient coming off of Route 7. However, I had the misfortune of being behind a customer that didn’t know what to order, and when he did he had a thousand questions about his meal. He took another two to three minutes to get adoring condiments. I was surprised the check out girl wasn’t upset. She was very courteous and attended to his every wish, which told me she was a professional. I find it interesting that some customers can be so annoying, but these associates have to take it because they practice good customer service. In any case, I ordered the 8-piece nuggets combo with a side of red beans and rice. My drink was a Sprite to go with the meal. The young lady that just finished with the previous customer didn’t seem phased at all, she was polite, smiled sincerely and provided me with the same level of service. Amazingly, the food is good of course, this Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary in the preparation of their food. I mean the red beans and rice, in my opinion are the best in the market of fast food. Nothing compares to the flavor and consistency. I never had the nuggets, but I was definitely ordering my red beans and rice with this meal.

Normally love this place but this is the second time I’ve had this issue in Herndon. They got my order wrong- no worries, right? We all gets stuff wrong now and again plus it’s an easy fix! But when I asked for the correction- the usually fresh and delicious chicken was very much not. They gave us old pieces that have been clearly burned from sitting under the lamp and were missing skin?!? Not cool guys.
