I placed an order online at 12:34, drove to the location to pick it up, and ended up waiting until 1:04 for my food. They ignored me for a straight 10 minutes, then told me it’d be 2 minutes for my order. I waited an additional 10 minutes for them to tell me they were waiting for the fried pickles. Even after the pickles were done, they still wouldn’t make my order and I continued to wait. Multiple people who had come in after me had been served and received their orders before me.
The manager walked in during this experience, noted everyone waiting, went in the back and just left without doing anything to assist. Useless management.
Once I finally got my order, I asked them not to staple the bag shut so I could check it but they did regardless. I open the bag and they had given me the incorrect sauces, and 2 of them were busted open and leaking into the bag. I told them they were the wrong sauces and they told me they didn’t have the ones I had ordered, so they had just given me random sauces instead of asking me if I’d want different ones. They replaced the busted sauce packets and once again gave me more busted sauces. After a third time they finally gave me nondamaged sauce packets and I was able to leave.
I immediately contacted support and they refunded me for the inconvenience.
I will never return to this location and I advise others to avoid it.
he absence of the ghost pepper chicken sandwich was never addressed to me, but instead was given a spicy chicken sandwich under the premise of “maybe he won’t know the difference.”
All the chicken given was old dry pieces baking under the heat lamps, devoid of any moisture and with leather like exteriors. The tenders were akin to eating heated beef jerky.
The biscuits were hard enough to strike with a meat tenderizer and have the biscuit be unaffected by the blunt force, maintaining shape. Old ship hardtack is the closest item I would compare to these biscuits. Ordered 5 sauces, got 4 with the 1 I got for myself being left absent, nothing said.
The ONLY thing remotely close to ok was the mashed potatoes, and that point, if you mess up reconstituting powders, you shouldn’t be in the food service industry at all.
With 8 employees in the building, you think SOMEONE would be checking the quality of food. But no, because this is the habits of a restaurant hemorrhaging money, selling garbage old food to customers because they can’t take the loss of food waste, and smiling pretending they did a good job. It feels like every Popeyes around me is run by the same management group now and they have driven the quality of the food into the ground. I remember waiting in line for 30 minutes at this location 7 years ago just to get some good chicken. Now it’s all garbage, this one and the one in North Versailles. I am never eating at another Popeyes in Pennsylvania, I have no faith in them anymore.
A recent inspection revealed an active roof leak above the front service line where fried chicken and potato fries are hot-held. “This water is falling onto the front of the service line and represents an imminent health hazard in a critical food preparation/storage area,” the inspector noted in the report.
The leak consisted of one ceiling tile that is wet and sagging, with dripping occurring at its edges. Water was falling onto the edge of the front service line, directly in front of the fries.
Another active leak was found over the mop service sink.
The inspector found evidence of a chronic roof leak directly above the self-service soda dispenser in the dining area, indicated by severely water-stained ceiling tiles and heavy buildup of calcium on the wooden junctures and wall.
I’m never even eating at a Popeyes again…
