I am a New York resident and was in New Jersey running errands when I stopped by Popeyes to pick up an order I had placed. From the moment I walked in, we were greeted by the manager, Jaime. He was extremely attentive to all customers and made sure every order was processed correctly.
Jaime was charismatic, professional, and very attentive, which made the wait time fly by. My order was perfect—nothing was missing. He even called me by name and asked how everything was.
His leadership is clearly the reason the team was so well synchronized and delivered excellent customer service. This was hands down the best customer experience I’ve ever had at any Popeyes—and honestly, at any fast-food chain.

The food is good but the orders can be slow to fulfill. And they mess something up pretty frequently. Often enough that I have made a mental note to stop in the parking lot to make sure everything is right before I leave. I usually order online. The last time I ordered a spicy bacon & cheese sandwich with no pickles. When I opened the bag, there was no bacon or cheese, and there were pickles in it. Messed the entire sandwich up and its the only thing I got. So…. 3 stars is all I can muster. Still tastes good.

I came to this location last night for my son who is Autistic.. he’s a wonderful child who works hard to earn a meal of his choice once a week.. and he wants nothing more the to enjoy “Good” fried chicken from Popeys… therefore that is what he will receive, well atleast I thought so.. I usually go to the Perth Amboy location cause I work close by. ..but last night I didn’t work so i went to this location ..and the food was extremely greasy and MOST DEFINITELY not fresh.. the meat was dried out and put back in the greasy once I placed the order I’m assuming. I tried calling late last night to see how can the problem be rectified but got no answer. I recalled this happening to me before at this location and I figured I’d give them another shot. .. but had the same bad result so I felt the need to leave this review to help someone else before they endure what I have. ..BUYER BEWARE..

Disappointed With Service and Long Wait Times
I visited this Popeyes location around 1 PM on a Saturday, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected. Even though the dining area wasn’t busy and there was very little foot traffic, the service was extremely slow. There simply were not enough workers to handle the customers who were there, and the few employees on duty seemed overwhelmed.
What made it more frustrating is that I had placed a mobile order, expecting faster service and less waiting. Instead, I still ended up standing around for an unreasonable amount of time just to get my food. Several walk-in customers were also waiting, clearly unsure of what was causing the delay.
To be fair, the food itself was fresh and tasted good, but the overall customer service overshadowed that. A well-run location shouldn’t struggle during a slow period, especially not during lunchtime on a weekend. Popeyes as a brand is usually known for quick service and good food, but this particular location needs better staffing, training, and management oversight to keep up with customer expectations.
I hope they address these issues soon, because the food quality is there—it’s the service that needs serious improvement.

I just ordered off uber eats and the food was not fresh at all. I ordered a 2 piece chicken meal that had a breast and wing. The breast was not even edible. It was dried out and hard as a rock.. The wing was also dried out. This chicken must have been sitting out for hours. Also the mashed potatoes had an odd taste to it. My daughter had fries with her meal and they were cold and also old. I have ordered from here before with no issues. Unfortunately today was not the case. I’m totally disgusted and will not be ordering from this location again.

Drive thru guy was very forgetful as if he didn’t know where the button for 2 wraps fries and mash potatoes were. He took card without telling total. Then handed food without returning card. He wasn’t a younger guy either…so couldn’t have been his first day/job.
Proceeded to get home and eating my fries…I felt a BALL OF HAIR IN MY MOUTH. I lost it. Ain’t driving all the way back to get a I’m sorry…figured I’d share my experience instead.

BUG IN THE FOOD!
I ordered the food via Uber Eats. Popeyes take so much time to prep that the food was delayed by 15 minutes. Anyways the biggest issue was, there was a bug fried in the food. I had to throw the whole meal and I was just left with a doubtful drink.
Secondly, I have never seen hairs on the chicken in whole life. I’ve eaten a lot even in third world countries but the quality of chicken Popeyes are using is the worst. I have attached pictures also as a proof.
If you care about hygiene and a good health, never go to this place.

Popeyes always keeps its standard higher in Fried Chicken compared to big names. I found customer service way better than other batches in the area.
