Never again.
I asked for Honey Mustard with my tender box. I got Bayou Buffalo and Sweet Heat instead. I can’t eat those and hey tell me they are out of everything but those sauces.
Then I had a coupon for 6.99 for the tender box, this place was OUT of small cups so the cashier lady upcharged me to a medium cup without even telling me.
They even made me wait 5 minutes for the box
The workers here are quite rude as well, which I really did not care for. They only seemed to be nice to the patrons who spoke Spanish…I know enough Spanish to know they were saying rude things about me.
Overall I can see why this Popeyes has such a low star rating. Poor service, out of many items, dirty tables…

This place opened months ago and I was so excited. The first month I went everything was delicious and came out fast and fresh with big chicken breasts in their sandwiches. However, a few months down the road the past three times I came for an original chicken sandwich they told me they were out after I had already ordered online via the app. Had to contact customer service to get a refund and left without food. When they actually do have chicken sandwiches they have more breading than chicken and you have to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get it. This last time (because it will be the LAST time I ever go there) I waited parked near the door for my drive through order as the 3 cars behind me left with their food. 20 minutes later I got my food, came home to eat it and the piece of chicken looked like a pretzel of mismatched chicken pieces thrown in the fryer with more breading than chicken. If you’re lucky you’ll leave with the food you ordered.. after 20 minutes.. and the chicken will be so chewy that you don’t even want to finish your sandwich because it’s so disgusting. I know it’s a fast food restaurant but a robot could cook a better sandwich than that. They should honestly shut down the place until proper management can come in and straighten things out. That’s how bad it is.

NEVER AGAIN! I love Popeye’s Chicken. But the Willimantic one is nasty! Wellxstsrt with the food. I ordered a family feast. The fries were soggy, and cold, the chicken also super cold, and the biscuits were extremely stale!
Now the service. The guy that seemed like the manager basically just sat there doing nothing but yell at his 2 employees, but did no work himself. A customer that was there before me, said she had been waiting over 40 minutes!!! Their drive through was full, and online orders were so backed up, they were on the floor. Then when I finally got my food and left, there was a strung out girl with NO clothes on leaning against my truck asking for a ride!!! Honestly the worst experience getting food I’ve ever had. Guess I’ll have to drive 45 minutes or more to get decent Popeye’s. This place needs to shut down, or get new ownership! The picture I added was pretty much what the place looked like the whole time. No one around…

Smelly Indian handed me my food, who I could smell even though it was the drive through. Should’ve known better, I got food poisoning and have been on the pot for over a day with painful stomach cramps. I will never be back.

Safety first. 3 chairs missing bolts. Just about busted my butt trying to seat. Paint peeling off wall and mold stains. Building not even a yr old. Ordered nuggets at 12.39 didn’t have any so swapped to sandwich at 9.99. Guess what no refund of the difference. Avoid this place.

Unfortunately, the only thing I can give this place credit for is how clean it was. After we ordered, it took over 15 minutes for any of us to get our food. Usually I wouldn’t complain about a wait, but we were some of the only ones in the restaurant. The food overall was mid and disappointing, especially after waiting 15-20 minutes. The soda machine was a joke, as more than 2 out of 8 flavors were out of stock, and there were no signs displaying that. Multiple customers came in and complained that their DoorDash was taken/misplaced, and multiple arguments broke out, but nothing serious happened. Overall it didn’t taste good, it took way too long, loud because of the customers and managers complaining, and unappetizing.

Every time I go into this Popeyes, I’m nothing but disappointed poor staff staff on their phones on actual phone calls getting customers orders wrong walking away from customers when customers need assistance, blatantly, ignoring customers just all-around rude and a waste of money and a waste of time going here. they give you the skimpiest pieces of chicken if they even remember to get your order, right… I wouldn’t waste your time coming to this Popeyes
