The guy at the counter couldn’t understand what we were saying and we ended up waiting over 15 minutes for our food while half of it was just tossed onto the counter without the guy even saying anything to us making the mash potatoes and fries cold when we got them. The place was absolutely freezing and made us not want to eat inside at all, if you are going to serve people in the winter you should put the heat on. The chicken was sweet but not in the typical fashion for some reason it tasted like cherries and none of us wear perfume. We were already home when we tasted the food because it was so cold in the establishment. We will not come back to this popeyes in the future. Dont waste your money here when there are perfectly better restaurants in the area.

Popeyes is delicious and I would like to eat at the one closest to me if it would please be able to do better on its routine safety inspections.
They’ve had multiple reinspections by food safety officials recently and have had 22 violations since March 2025. Some of those were hot food being held at temps too low and refrigerated food 15 degrees above fridge temp. Others were surfaces not being clean enough.

Ordered from Popeyes through DoorDash — and while it’s usually decent, tonight was absolutely unacceptable. I ordered the sandwich bundle (two types of wings, two sandwiches, Popeyes sauce, and Cajun fries). Both sandwiches and the sauce were completely missing. When I tried to call the store, the phone lines were disconnected…
I requested a refund through DoorDash, but they only refunded the price of ONE missing sandwich — even though over half my order was missing. This is beyond frustrating and extremely unprofessional. This isn’t the first time Popeyes has forgotten items. In the past it’s been minor things missing, like just a sauce, or the fries, but it is the first time it’s been this bad.
Should have learned my lesson and not given them another chance…
I won’t be ordering again.
EDIT: 2 weeks later from my original review, and my husband said “let’s give them one more shot” when the order is correct, he really likes their wings. Well, we learned our lesson, again. We will officially NEVER be back.
WINGS COMPLETELY MISSING FROM THE ORDER…
Not only that, but the manager responded to my original review – few weeks ago about half the order being missing, AND their phone lines being down.. but their manager seems to post about caring online without actually doing anything to resolve the issue because 2 weeks after the original issue, their phone lines are STILL disconnected and their team STILL sucks. Shame.

Service was absolutely terrible. Mind you, my was taken by the manager. We went in, placed our order and sat down to wait for it at 2:53pm. Next, two customers came in, on which one of them left due to the wait. As we waited, the manager was back and forth. Then a girl showed up at register, and she started tending to the customers. Well, 3 customers in total who ordered after us, left before us. So, we stood up at 3:33, because I was ready to ask for a refund. We been waiting for like 30+ minutes. He Then comes out and puts our food together and off we go. Food did not felt as fresh as it should’ve been. No sauce, no honey, biscuits were hard, & bone-in chicken was nearly cold. I have never ever had lived through such a disgusting service in a fast food restaurant…and believe me I’ve had my share of disappointments but like this one NEVER. Snap, even the reward code from the receipt would work either on the app. They didn’t even have coleslaw ♀️ I was beyond myself and it took EVERY SINGLE OUNCE of me to not burst like my brain was urging me to. This location is no good. And at the end we ended up taking our food instead of dining in as we wanted to.

Honestly, I don’t get all the hype about Popeyes’ chicken sandwich getting bad reviews. Every time I go, the food is solid — crispy, juicy, and just all-around tasty. The sandwich hits every time, and I’ve never had a bad experience there. Definitely one of those places where people overreact, because my visits have always been pretty great.

First and last time here. Ordered 2 chicken sandwich combos in the drive thru. Was asked to pull ahead as they were waiting on fries. After watching 4 people get their food and drive off behind me, I decided to go inside. They forgot about me (things happen). The worker was apologetic and respectful at least. The fries tasted like wet cardboard, flat soda, and the chicken sandwich itself was sub par.

Absolutely horrible service. I placed an order on the app at 6:09. They told me to pull up at the drive through and they would bring it out. I waited and no one came, but I kept seeing people go in and come out. So I went inside and asked if they had my order and no one had any idea what I was talking about. I was ignored as they kept taking peoples orders and giving them theirs. While my ticket was just sitting there. The manager just kept coming over and looking at it and asking what I was waiting for. Then they started rushing on an order, but it was just the customers who literally just walked in. I didn’t get my order until 7:10. No apologies. Nothing at all. I have never been treated so horribly by workers, especially a manager. Why would they tell me to pull forward and wait at the drive through window if they weren’t even going to make it. I already submitted a complaint online with no response. So now I will report to BBB. Also to add, I only ordered three things. But not one person made any attempt to just try and get it ready. So I just had to stand there and wait, while people kept asking what I needed.. and then did nothing About it.

What is the point of ordering online for a quick pickup when I order like 20 minutes ahead and my food is still not ready when I walk in? I order online, then still have to wait in line to verify my order and wait for it to be put together. It doesn’t make any sense. The food is great, but everything else about this place is so terrible.

Workers are over worked at this location. Employees tried to keep a positive attitude while working in hazardous and extreme heat conditions. It is 80 degrees out and the establishment has no functioning AC. The poor workers are forced to prop the door open and it feels hotter inside because of all the kitchen equipment. All workers are sweaty and look exhausted. Owner please do something about this as these people are working to make YOU money and YOUR business successful.

*Update March 2025: Paid nearly $20 for less than the 1/4 lb of popcorn shrimp. Quantity is significantly less than before (seems to be an issue with this location (have ordered this before from other Popeyes locations and it is never such thievery). AVOID WARWICK, RI POPEYES
