It’s a nice mom-and-pop spot with a cozy, intimate atmosphere that works well for a small lunch group or a casual date. I came with a group from my church, and the space felt comfortable for that kind of gathering. The food was okay, but there’s room for improvement when it comes to flavor and seasoning.
Portion sizes were generous and definitely filling. The service was good overall, especially considering there were only two servers. They were semi-attentive and consistently refilled the garlic bread, which was a plus. The servers were polite and listened, but they didn’t ask some important questions such as whether the check needed to be split for our group of five or if we were paying together.
I also wasn’t a fan of our seating. We were placed near a table that didn’t feel ideal, and it seemed more based on availability than service flow.
Overall, I would still recommend this place for a small get-together or an intimate lunch or date.

Had a great experience here yesterday. Sat at the bar, bartender was a really nice guy and great service. The place has a welcoming vibe and I love that they have TV’s at the bar. The food was exceptionally good, the shrimp was amazing and that surf and turf took the cake! The stuffing on top of the lobster tail added so much flavor. Steak was great quality and cooked to perfection. I will be a repeat customer at this place. Hole in the wall in Deer Park.

Food and service were great! I love how Joe comes out to greet his praying and make sure we’re enjoying our dining experience. My only challenge was a black shirt who made me feel rushed at a rare time where there were plenty of tables around us. Not a normal encounter at Popei’s so we overlooked it.

This place is PHENOMENAL. the service and workers are amazing. They really treat everyone like their own. Each waiter greets me with a smile and the owners are amazing. Really my favorite seafood restaurant on Long Island. Jose, Ernesto and Jeanna are the best!! Visit them when you go to popies!!

Last night before heading back to Florida. Absolutely the best dinner of my visit. Had the combination stuffed shrimp, flounder, scallops, grilled shrimp and a large baked clam with a side of linguini with garlic and oil. Even the garlic bread was perfectly toasted and delicious. My daughter had the stuffed shrimp. Our server Angel was very attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to return. Highly recommend if you enjoy a fresh, outstanding seafood meal.

This location in Deer Park is one of my favorites. The times I have dined here, it has been consistently good. We had the overstuffed lobster, oysters, and steak. Everything was cooked to perfection.
The restaurant has two sides, if you want a lively place to watch sports the bar is the place to be with lots of regulars. The inner part is quiet for conversation. Either way, the service was great, and there is lots of parking.

This place has certainly come far since its last renovation. The service and staff is very kind, the food offerings are very robust, and the happy hour selection is fantastic, almost every day of the week. The fresh seafood is remarkable, emphasis on the fresh clams and oysters.
