The huli huli chicken was some of the best chicken I’ve ever tasted. A group of four ordered two lunch plates and the portions were extremely generous. Also the owner gave us a free drink that had mango pomelo I believe and this was the icing on the cake. There are plenty of benches right next to the water so you can enjoy your meal with a breathtaking view.

Food & Service 10/10 ⭐️

We turned around on our scooters because the chicken smelt so great. Glad we stopped, my goodness it did not disappoint. The skin was crispy, chicken juicy and seasoned to perfection. The otai Drink was unbelievable. Portion sizes great, hospitality lovely and excellent taste&price. Will certainly stop by again. Thank you!

So good! So much food & cheap. A plate is enough for 2. If you’re heading to Kualoa Ranch or the macadamia nut farm, stop here for lunch. There are tables next to water with a nice view of the mountains.

Delicious chicken, super tender and soft! Nice area to sit nearby as well. We went around 12:30 and it was very quick and easy to get seating. They have free sauces to add on top as well.

A deliciously seasoned, healthy portion of chicken, rice and corn. One meal was plenty for 2 adults to share! We will definitely be back!

Nice little stand on the side of the highway, beautiful view of the water, and the family is the nicest. We got 3 chicken plates that comes with rice and corn and 5 mango, pineapple and coconut juice that was AMAZING. Price was a little over $100 for everything but to feed 5 people that’s a very fair price!

We ordered the $20 chicken platter, comes with a lot of chicken, rice, and corn. Enough for 2 people. It was delicious. We also ordered the tropical blend drink, it’s so refreshing! We loved it! The family here is so nice!

We were driving past this food truck and had to turn back around when we smelt it! The chicken tastes amazing, such a good price for $5 or $20 for a box meal! All the owners are so lovely and even let us try some local fruit!

We came across Poor man’s LLC after our beach hopping and Kualoa Ranch adventure.Fruits are sweet and fresh we had mangoes, soursop and coconut. Their Huli chicken is a must try it’s tender, juicy and flavorful my kids loved it. The owner Onita is so generous she gave us extra chicken before we left. Definitely made our day. Good food, lovely people. Loving Hawaii!!

As a big fan of huli-huli chicken, we had to check this place out! We usually go to one in Haleiwa, but this one is located on the other side of the island near Kaneohe (not too far away from another well know huli-huli chicken joint).
It’s a limited menu, but what they do, they do well: smokey and juicy with a crispy skin. If you only like white meat, you’re out of luck: they do chicken legs only. One $20 order gets you 3 legs served with rice and corn.
Poor Man’s will give the one in Haleiwa a run for their money (except PM doesn’t have coleslaw). The chicken from the competitor down the street is slathered in a BBQ sauce, this one is not. It’s a preference thing. I prefer the flavor of the chicken to shine through.
