Was super skeptical to even try after reading all the negative reviews but we were hungry and didn’t want to go out. And Pleasantly Surprised at how good the food was.
We had the Philly cheesesteak and a Patty Melt and both were good! In my opinion Price was high for 2 sandwiches but you’re paying for convenience in a vacation town.
I definitely recommend giving them a try!

This is very late review, since we visited this place in late August, and now is late February. I simply forgot to write it.

We googled where to go for a breakfast. Found this place, reviews were decent, photos attached also. Once we arrived, we were very disappointed. First, it doesn’t look nice, 2 stars is the right grade for the look of the space. Secondly- the price for the sandwich was ridiculous compared to what you get. This is a ham & cheese sandwich. Not warm. Was it toasted? I doubt. Anyway, small sandwich and not enough. But since it was poorly made, we didn’t want to order more, so we left and went to another place.

Nasty, daughter n law found a hair cooked into her overpriced French toast which was coated in cinnamon. Service was horrible, lady couldn’t even manage a smile. It was 22$ for one person. The a small drink is the size of a kids drink anywhere else you go and it’s 2$

Charges $4 for regular black coffee that tastes awful. No service at all, it’s self serve. Unfriendly staff that will make you wait for 10 minutes while they’re talking on the phone right in front of you without acknowledging you’re there. Self serve counter is not stocked and missing sugar, creamer, etc.

Terrible.

I visit the Poolside Cafe everytime I stay at Sidney James. I just returned home yesterday from my latest stay. The staff throughout the day are nice and attentive. I had the turkey toaster sandwich Friday, and it was so good! I had the pancakes and eggs for breakfast yesterday. Can’t wait for my next visit

Paid $40 for two drinks and 10 chicken tenders didn’t read the whole description thought they came with sides and they didn’t so the food is ok at best and it’s a rip off for what you get.

We were staying at the hotel and it was so convenient to have the restaurant right across the parking lot from us. Having a 4 and 2 year old does not make going out for food easy so this was great. We had dinner once and breakfast twice. The portions were great. I had a chicken quesadilla, the kids had cheese quesadillas and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. For breakfast we had the French toast plate and they were so good. The prices were better than any other local restaurant and the food was great. They also offer a generous military discount so that was appreciated. We had a bit of a mix up on our first breakfast outing but it was quickly fixed and the new employee was great and very friendly. We appreciate your hard work and good food, everybody!

My boyfriend and I are spending the weekend here in Gatlinburg and we have eaten here 4 times in the two days we’ve been here! The food is great and so reasonably priced! Everything comes out so quick as well! We plan on getting dinner there tonight and breakfast before we head out. The service we have had has been top notch as well! Everyone has been so friendly! I wish I had the girls name that was working last night when we first went in! She was there again this evening cooking! She was alone last night for a little bit and held it down by herself and still provided great service AND food! Highly recommend checking them out!

Stayed here for a couple days on my way back from Florida and it was so gorgeous and had great service, a beautiful clean room, and they even have a cute little cafe attached called poolside cafe. Amy who works there was the sweetest, most helpful person when I was deciding what to order. She always had a smile on her face even bright and early when they were opening. We had a jacuzzi and fireplace in our giant room. I could have lived there it was so cozy and welcoming. We were close enough to walk to the strip to shop, gas stations for my diet cokes, indoor and outdoor pools, a lot quieter then where I stayed in Florida. We usually stay at another hotel but I’m so happy we found Sidney James and will be returning as much as possible 🙂
