Being from Louisiana. I ordered the lunch time shrimp plate. Around $10. I had a really good laugh. Shrimp were baby shrimp. Biggest one size of a quarter. However, they were cooked correctly. These are the small shrimp you pile onto a poboy. Now I can say I’ve been there, done that. Haha.

I got a low country boil and a 1/2 lb of garlic crabs. Good price, nice people and was the food I ordered, but that’s all the good things. The shrimp was mushy, the crabs tasted old and overly salted, and the sausage wasn’t adequately seasoned. Great corn though!

I traveled her from Atlanta, couldn’t wait to get me seafood ON! Low and behold, there were three females going through a bag of gifts. Behind the counter,, Making me feel like I was invisible. Then I finally got a CAN I HELP YOU? The I asked for the garlic crab. “Out” then crab cake, “out”. Not to mention the SHOWCASE was showing signs of AGE. The glass was VERY CLOUDY… Also the fish in the other showcase had signs of DEHYDRATION. I supported this market for decades, I highly recommend… GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

25 Feb ‘26 3:15. Ordered two fish and shrimp dinners both extra crispy and with corn on the cob. This food looked terrible! Seafood mess sitting in nasty old grease. The corn was old, brownish looking overcooked mess also sitting in nasty old grease. BUT what really sucked more than the crap food was the guy in the kitchen came out of kitchen and went to bathroom and when he went back into kitchen he DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS!!!!! I was standing where I could see both handwash station and sink in kitchen. Will not ever go here again. Too sometimey for me. Didn’t see health department inspection score posted anywhere.

Had a nice fried shrimp dinner. Though the shrimp were small we did get plenty of them. The fries were not overly salted either. The slaw was well made also. Basically a fish market that will cook your fish to order. The young ladies were great and the service was quick.

What happened to Pooler seafood!? I used to get plump shrimp and big claws on a seafood boil.
I got soggy popcorn shrimp and mushy wet little crab legs that was maybe a claw but should be by weight if it’s that small. I wouldn’t complain if it priced differently. This is my first ever negative review, so that’s how disappointed I was.
Plus I had to re cook and re heat mt food.
Do better for these prices…rude service and poor quality sure.

Review for Pooler Seafood Market
I highly recommend sticking to the seafood here, as it’s what they do best. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of ordering wings, and it was a big disappointment — they were undercooked, pale, and had an off smell. Definitely not something I’d try again. Lesson learned: when in a seafood market, order seafood.

Seafood here is much better than where I live. I actually have to travel 45 minutes just to come to Pooler for decent seafood. I will say the jumbo shrimp is questionable as far as size. The jumbo shrimps look nothing of jumbo. They look like regular sized shrimp. So that seems rather suspicious. Other than that, the seafood there is pretty good.

I brought twenty five dollars worth of shrimp. First, they have shrimp mixed in with the0 good shrimp and bad shrimp. Second, the shrimp was not fresh water shrimp. Third, they had a funny smell to them. Finally, I will never buy no seafood their again. Where are the people who used to own the seafood markets.
