Such a cute environment. We went around 7pm on a Tuesday and it was pretty empty. We got the jade curry, beef satay, and the west side wontons which were all fire. We also met Pookie herself and she was so sweet. Worth a second visit for sure! I would say new menus or a digital menu would be nice but the menus are cool with the wood and the metal detailing.

Very good but not quite outstanding Thai food. Prices were a bit on the higher side ($15-$17 avg) for moderate portions. The papaya salad (som tum) was probably the best dish with the right amount of spiciness. The Penang chicken curry was very creamy with coconut milk but slightly bland. At first glance I thought the peas were Thai eggplant. The basil chicken (krapaw gai) was properly minced but again was slightly less flavorful than expected. The Singapore noodles were good, but just seemed a bit soggy.
Service was average. For example, my water glass but we were never offered a refill.
I’ll hope to return and try other dishes!
Hint: hard to find, located in Water Court at an open air inside ground floor courtyard. Best to park at suite number “910”, take the stairs down, then immediately to your right.

A very relaxing ambience and friendly staff is what greets you when you enter Pookie’s. The food is flavorsome, provides a good potion and is very satisfying. The place looks very upscale but is easy on the pocket. It’s better to reach a bit early or reserve ahead since the place gets crowded very quickly. There is elaborate seating inside and outside the restaurant but it gets cold outside during the evenings. The place offers take out. The staff is also very helpful as they explain each dish we are interested in and recommend dishes according to our interests. I will definitely be visiting again just for the love of good Thai food and the ambience of the place.

I orders to go based a recommendation from a co-worker and overall the food was great. Unfortunately, trying to find the restaurant was incredibly difficult due to zero sinage in the center and parking lot. I had to call them 4 tines and finally someone came out to the parking lot to meet me. As great as that was, the food was cold when I got back to
My hotel and the spring rolls were soggy.
Sad that I don’t know if i can order from them on future business trips unless they can improve the sinage.

One of the best Thai places around Thousand Oaks. The food is just part of the experience. The outdoor seating with sounds of waterfall, and a small pond with ducks is a serene experience. It’s good to visit in the evenings in summer so that the heat doesn’t kill you.

I really enjoyed the food that was served here, and I thought the waiter was nice. However, it took quite a bit to order our food, get our food, wait for the check, and get our card back after paying. This might be due to understaffing, but I still think that Pookie’s is a great restaurant. If you come here, I suggest arriving earlier than you originally planned to eat because it might take a bit before you get your food. I ordered the Cha Cha Fish.

Tasty thai food. Much better than any other thai outlet in 20 mile radius. We are frequent visitor since 14 years.

Add Pookies to the list of hidden gems in the Conejo Valley. We sat outside for dinner at a shaded table next to a running water feature. Three dishes proved to be just the right amount for the two of us. Pad Thai Noodles, Jade Curry with Beef and Vegetable Melange complimented each other perfectly and all three were excellent. The service was great and engaging. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

We usually like this place. Portions are always small, but the flavor is good. Tonight was a total bummer. Placed the order at 5:48. OK, it’s Mother’s Day, so when she tells me it *might* take until 7:30 to get our food, I agreed. Food did not arrive until after 8:00–almost two and a half hours from when we ordered. (See photo) Soft shell crab appetizer was the skimpiest portion ever–Half of what we usually get, and lukewarm. Surrounding it with lettuce did not fool us. (Photo) Tom Ka Gai soup contained a few shreds of chicken and three–count them three–mushrooms. Entrees were equally light on the protein. If you are running out of food, be honest and we’ll order elsewhere and then come back. After tonight? Maybe not.
