I am a chef from out of town, I always look for restaurants that are off the beaten path. This was one of the best restaurants with homemade food that I have ever had. I strongly suggest everybody go here and try it. We got our food to go everything was homemade Good price simply delicious. I could not find one thing wrong with anything that we got. We purchased the meatloaf that came with rice, collard, greens, outstanding, sweet potatoes, Black Eyed Peas, outstanding, cornbread and they have a special sauce that is meat, ham, sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, and they put it in shrimp and grits, but I cannot eat shrimp so I wanted to try it and we put it on top of rice with extra meat and this should be a new menu item for them. The food was made to order. We only waited 25 minutes and we were on our way I didn’t get a chance to thank them or tell them how delicious this food was if you go to the zoo or ever go through Sanford I suggest you look at this restaurant and stop there. One of the owners was running the window and obviously the other one was this truly truly was an outstanding Food experience. . The Asian cashier lady was rude to me when i first walked in an told me cash only with a unpleasant tone and this was the first time i had even stepped into this establishment I replied calmly ok and proceeded to make an order. She was impatient and still being rude i had to let her know she wouldn’t talk to me in that tone. After that she got an attitude then started mumbling under her breat. The food was ok at best i definitely won’t be visiting this place again.

I LOVE the breakfast and service here! The food is excellent! The owners are always courteous and they make the perfect Pink Lemonade! They cook your food JUST the way you want it. There’s not a very long wait. I call the owner that takes your order, Ma. She is a very nice person and she makes me laugh! Even though I don’t go there all of the time, when I do go, she remembers what I love to order. She also remembers my name! She sees 100s of people daily and she knows them all. This is a great restaurant and ad you WANNA eat THERE she will offer great table service! This place stays busy! I WISH that they will stay open all day!
