Hoagie, Grinder, Hero, Sub, Whatever part of the country you hail from, these slang terms translate to more or less the same thing. Piled with cold cuts, cheeses, and brine-infused condiments on a crusty bread loaf, the mouthwatering sandwich has endured as the grab-and-go lunch through generations of American life. The mighty meal of a tailgate party or lazy day at the beach.
The subs at Ponzetti’s are built on a foundation of flavorful meats and cheese with your choice of toppings! I ordered the whole Italian sub. The bread was soft, the amount of meat was a bit lacking for my taste, and the seasoning was great. Overall, the Italian sub was good and hit the spot for my lunch craving! I also ordered a small fry to go along with it! Oh, and don’t forget the drink being born into a Pennsylvania Dutch household, I definitely had to get us a large Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer!
I’d say overall, this is a pretty good place to get a sub! When you walk in, it looks and smells just like the old Italian sub shops I would go to near Philadelphia growing up.
I couldn’t tell you about the pizza other than they looked great coming out of the oven, and people were picking them up left and right! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful while taking our order and dealing with other customers while we were waiting.
So, if you are looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat, stop by Ponzetti’s, and give them a try!

I ordered a cheese steak with mushrooms, fried onions and raw onions. I did not notice any mushrooms at all and the help doesn’t seem to be very friendly here. Maybe I’ll try their Pizza next time.

Great pizza. The restaurant does have plenty of seating but I would definitely recommend take out. It just doesn’t have a very cozy atmosphere, but it’s still nice and take out with pizza is always the best anyway.

Usually we like there pizza but pizza this time was uneven and looked thrown together. I was pulling dough out of my mouth. Then I call and he say we can come in so they can see it. No thanks. Not getting my business again. The first picture is raw dough

Dont bother with this. Just get pizza hut or papa johns, that way you know itll be edible at least. Everything was horrible. Ordered a hawaiian pizza. It was doughy and burnt on the bottoms at the same time. The marinara and cheese just slid right off, could barely even pick up a slice. I dont judge pizza by looks but i immediately spat it out when i got it in my mouth. It tastes off, almost like rotten tomatoes. I got wings that were bad too, and a cheese steak that was tasteless. I would love to put some faith in smaller chains, but its such a coin toss on whether or not they will serve you edible food.

Excellent place, my son and I came in after a long day riding the local trails to refuel. Ordered a 16″ pie, half cheese, told them to surprise me for my half, and boy was I happy. My son and I had an excellent dinner (I may have over eaten a bit). Will definitely be back.

Ponzetti’s Pizza is the best, my siblings and I were raised up eating Ponzetti’s Pizza it was and still is my mother’s favorite place for pizza whom put a slice on a white paper plate from Ponzetti’s Pizza and fed it to use and it’s been the best Pizza we ever tasted since., I am 61 yrs old now and Ponzetti’s Pizza was opened in 1962 so you do the math on how long I been eating there. Now they are closing business in April 29 2025 in the Salisbury area and they will be sadly missed.

The pizza was ok. The pizza crust could have been a little bit better. The restaurant was clean. My main issue was with the flies due to them having to leave the front door open because the air conditioner wasn’t working.
